When I was in high school I took Art. One semester we did oil paintings. One of my paintings was very Salvador Dali-ish. It consisted of a red rose, a clock, and a few drops of blood against a black background. The rose represented the forbidden love I had for a worldly girl in school. The clock meant time was running out for the world. The blood represented the girl's death in the big "A". That was twenty years ago. Funny how twisted your world-view becomes when filtered through the teachings of the Borg (and Depeche Mode album covers)!

Weird weather and the end
by JimmyPage ini was out in field circus on saturday and the elder i was working with kept mentioning the weird weather patterns the world has been seeing.
now i know there is nothing in bible prophecy about weird weather being a sign of the end.
but if i were making a movie about the end of the world i would probably ramp up to the apocalypse with hurricanes, tornadoes, hailstorms, etc.

And how is it JW's always claim "natural disasters" as part of the sign of the end? Earthquakes, yes, it's there. I'll give you that one. But natural disasters in general? And now the weather? Your thoughts please!

Anyone here into vegetarianism?
by DazedAndConfused inthis trying to become somewhat of a vegetarian is hard.
i can look up anything on the net and find out how to do anything, including how to make a devastating nail bomb to making ricine (sp) to kill people but i can't seem to find out the nutritional values a person needs.. what i worry about most is the protein that we need on a daily basis.
right now i am eating everything that has the highest content of protein i can find in the cupboard.. i am not trying to go vegetarian because of peta, although i have watched the video's (eeeeewwwww).

Anyone here fit that description yourself? What was that like knowing the Society's stand on the issue? Were you sincere about "the truth"?

I was 23. She was worldly. It was my first date. We went to the movies (Ace Ventura 2). She seemed disinterested in the movie halfway through so we started making out. She was a smoker so she had a cigarette taste to her. I was probably a little too aggressive at first but I soon got the hang of it.

Missed college when you were younger? Here's a good solution!
by Awakened at Gilead inat my age i didn't want to spend the next 4-10 years going to college classes after work.
i have mentioned this in a few popsts but wanted to share this on a new thread so that everyone can find out how easy and cheap it can be to go to college.. i am studying online with cuny (city university of ny).
tuition is $2165 per semester if you take 4 or more classes.

Since you passed so many of them, what advice do you give for studying for the CLEP tests? Especially if you've been out a while?
