  according to a close relative of mine, you were not supposed to reveal the new book study arrangement to anyone.

  it was to be revealed at the k.h., and only there!!!!.

  secondly, there is to be no speculation as to what this new arangement means.........so............. no speculating..............please!!!!!!!.

  DO THEY REALLY THINK THEY CAN continue to CONTROL WHAT WE THINK . . . iN OR oUT? oh yeah, they dodo that, don't they - but not quite so effectively as they once did, I suppose, thanks to the internet.

  LOL sorry about all the yelling there.

  That "no speculation" rule comes under the phrase:

  "Don't Think," as in:

  'don't think, don't talk, don't be' - cult (and dysfunctional family) rules - insidious and ubiquitous among jehobers. Actually, the "don't talk" one applies only to mistakes and bloopers of the bOrg; it's perfectly okay amongst those who have da troof to talk about each other - rather than to each other, even though they give the "no gossip" thing lipservice.

  does anyone else here ever use stumbleupon?

  i've been using it for a couple of months (when i can get my network adapter to work.

  yesterday i found the coolest image of a glass frog using stumbleupon.

  Does anyone else here ever use StumbleUpon? I've been using it for a couple of months (when I can get my network adapter to work), and I just love it. I've discovered some really cool stuff and found a neat way to network with others who have common interests.

  Yesterday I found the coolest image of a glass frog using StumbleUpon. Check this out:

  I also discovered a really cool site on giant stars that both adults and kids will likely appreciate. It puts things into perspective:

  Free Will?

  i just had a conversation with my sibling regarding free will.

  he's going on and on about how jehoover gave us free will and that gives us the choice to accept him or not.

  now, i will confess that i never paid attention at the meetings, didn't give a hoot about doctrine, the bible or whatever they were spewing from the platform so maybe that's why i don't get this.

  JW funeral this WE

  ok, (r u there, toth, cuz i'm gonna rant again, ha-ha).

  so my h's great aunt (mil's aunt) died after a long illness, she was 85, seemed to be a nice lady but i only knew her from the kh.

  my h knows how i feel about going to the kh for any reason and is not forcing me to go.

  Tika - I think we can behave, ha ha, we just don't want to. My aunt's funeral is today and I doubt I'm going.

  I talked to my therapist about it and she was so pleased that I was being so honest with myself and making a healthy decision.

  It's hard for most people to understand it, but us shunned people know how sick our families are, and how mean-spirited they can be because of their cult.

  Besides, the funeral's supposed to be about the deceased, not about me and my crap . . . so me and my crap will stay right here and watch funny youtube sh#t or plant some flowers or something. And the JWInfo-mercial/funeral will go on as planned.

  I hope your hubby was okay with you not going . . . do you think he's gotten over it yet?

  Film "Worlds Apart," screened in NYC - GO SEE IT

  hello, just want to highly recommend the danish film, "worlds apart" now being screend at the tribeca film festival in new york.

  the acting is superb and the filmakers represent the witnesses accurately (to the "t") withoug making them appear fanatic.

  after all, these are people sincere in their beliefs no matter how absurd.

  You can email the film trailer to others. I just emailed it to a couple of relatives who sometimes fail to realize this is a cult. Maybe they will watch it and understand a bit better how much 'fun' I had growing up.

  I think it will be painful to watch it, but I will. It does look like a very good film. Thank you, NYCkid!

  My parents really bought into this stuff and converted in the early 1970's.

  I'm truly astonished to see that they continue to believe they have "the truth," as they age and still think maybe they won't have to die.

  All these years, predicting "the end times," and there they are, growing old . . . and they thought they never would.

  Now I really can believe the statistic I came across the other day that stated there are over 3000 religious cults in the US alone. What a fertile place for superstitious nonsense when such a large percentage of the population thinks evolution is not a reality.

  I broke my leg

  just got home from 2 nights in the hospital.

  i was kicked by a horse.

  broke the big bone out of the joint and busted the small bone... which was just one layer of tissue from being a compound fracture.. doc reduced the dislocation while i was concious... i dont think we need to experience that sensation again.

  Awww! HB! I hope the worst is over for you. Be as well as you can be. So sorry about your ordeal. And yeah, you're right - you are definitely not allowed to sleep in the hospital, heh! I know you're glad to be back home, huh? Good luck!
