Iceland wrote: "Taler/pråtter du skandinavisk eller bara suomisk og engelsk? :)" Actually the order for me is as follows; finnish, english, swedish and some bits and pieces of german. But considering posting guidelines (#8) english is most appropriate here. Mark

One must choose one's pets accordingly. Smaller pets like crabs (flatlus) allow unlimited meeting attendance.

Pets are ok and no problem really (considering field service and possible stumbling of others) for dubs as long there is no need for blood transfusion. Maybe Hemopure is ok nowadays for pets aswell?

My picture is kind of semi-real, it is a painting from the time I was DF'f over 30 yrs ago. It is loaded with positive memories of very nice people I was working with in Switzerland.

Addendum: I might add that after these 30+ yrs I look like this (that is when I am at my PC or desk):

Why is it even ex JW's run scared when they hear the word apostate?
by happehanna ini just told them where i work as a volunteer, that i am going to a workshop for those that have left a cult tomorrow.
they were all fascinated and wanted to know which cult i had belonged to.
i said jw's and this one guy said i he used to be one of them.

For 25 years after my DF I was so naïve as to believe that dubs have the truth. I was DF:d so long ago that I did not even learn the the word apostate. Untill I had Internet I had been contenplating to return, but then came the eye opener. I had to sacrifice first 50 years of my life to became a xjw.

Is there a JW Connection?
by Kenneson ina story out of roanoke, virginia tells of the murder of an 82 year old woman by her daughter.
the daughter believed that the end of the world would be in the year 2000 at the millennium.
an interesting comment was made by her brother: "anyone that can condone someone murdering their mother--i don't judge them; that's up to jehovah god.

As far as I know the WTBTS has never put forth any millenium predictions for the end of the world.
They have made few references to that direction:
"The apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century." {WT Jan 1 1989 12} [bound volume changed "20th century" to "day"]
".. there are many indications that 'the end' is much closer than that [the turn of the century]" {WT Mar 1 1984 18-9}
"Shortly, within our twentieth century, the 'battle in the day of Jehovah' will begin against the modern antitype of Jerusalem, Christendom." {TNSK 216}
