My entire family drifted away(Me,my son,mother,two sisters and two brothers)and now we all feel healthier and more stable.There's not one person in my family still in it so nobody has to be shunned! It just took me a little longer than the rest to leave.
i always did wonder about this, i mean, what function do they have and further, if, just supposing that we are made in the image of god, does god himself have the equivalent of nipples?

there has been plenty of drama in my life the last few weeks, and my time has been absorbed by it.
my grandma is seriously ill, and has but a few more months to live.

i got new neighbours a couple of months ago.
to get straight to the point, i'm sure the husband is knocking his wife about.
i can hear him shouting and screaming and loud thuds and bangs, sometimes late at night and even last week he was so loud that he actually woke me up at 7.30 in the morning with his behaviour.. i really feel intimidated by him.

many of us here, are not sure what the future holds, if there is a god, and if so what is his purpose.
i too fall into that category, but i think im better off now because when i was a dub, i always wondered if i was doing enough to get into the new world.
i worried about if my children would make it and if i was taking the lead for my wife and the cong.

I know I'm better off because I always went around feeling guilty that I wasn't doing enough for Jehovah,or maybe I was bringing reproach on his name and wouldn't survive Armageddon.I felt the need to be perfect,which is impossible,but the society seems to always be putting that kind of pressure on everyone.Now that I'm inactive,I quit a lot of little nervous habits I once had.
why is it that everyone and his cousin shows up for the memorial?
what is it about this meeting that makes people come out of the woodwork?
is it like going to church on easter and christmas or something?
I think some people feel that if they attend the Memorial,that's all they have to do to survive Armageddon.("Jehovah wouldn't destroy me,I was counted at the last Memorial".)They may think the ones present are actually the "Great Crowd".Just my opinion.
over the history of the watchtower society, they have published numerous medical articles with warnings of dangerous substances such as aluminium and others promoting quack medicines which never worked.
is it not strange, that the people choosen as "god's channel" would get these things wrong?
even stranger is the lack of information on truly dangerous substances.

If they get "theocratic" things wrong,why not get the smaller stuff wrong too?I think it's because they are not really God's channel.He doesn't need scientists to make a decision for him.That ought to be enough proof for any JW they are merely being led by men.
