It would be nice to see all JW's being this enthused, show's lack of interest. Just wishful thinking, that maybe they will see the real "new light".

Steve 2, I like your explanation, I see it the same way, the bible was written in the middle east and the middle eastern people still mirror a lot of what was first written, especially in their treatment of women, beheading ( like they wrote about John the Baptist). Sounds to me like those people wrote the bible.
I never understood when it is said, " God is Love" and then read the OT and I have to ask, where was God's love?
The cruelties in the OT where explained to me from a JW that God had to act in a harsh way because the human race was running amuck and were disobeying God. The only way they would learn God's lesson was by God's rath. hmmmm, If parents used those tatics to raise out children it would be child abuse.

I agree with you, I am not a JW but I have attended KH. It was so boring I couldn't wait for it to be over.
I was a baptized Catholic but no longer practice, however, I remember singing in the choir at mid-night Mass and it was so emotional and such a feeling of love came over me, when the song's Oh Holy Night, Hark the Hearld Angels, Oh Little Town of Bethleham, and Silent Night were sung. I would feel so full of Jesus' love and so thankful that He loved me enough to die for my sin's.
I have also attended some Baptist Churches and now their music really had me feeling full of Jesus' love. Hard not to feel emotional.
I also think that some of these religions use music to play on your emotions to lure you in. I still would rather sit in either church mentioned above then spend one boring minute in the KH. There is nothing uplifting, nothing to make you feel happy and full of God's love. I think JW's just dwell on their door to door whitnessing thinking that alone will get them eternal life. Too many JW's justifiy what they want to do, and make it a matter of conscience, the double standard, none of them are on the same page and they choose to wear the blinders.

I Am ... Free
by compound complex instronger, younger men would despair to find themselves in my place.
my circumstance - immobility of my lower limbs - would become an irreparable psychological blow to what many fellows believe the defining characteristics of manhood.
taking risks that are possible only in youth, these sturdy heroes march forward with confidence.

"Ditto" everything mandette said, she even pointed out more things then I picked up on. Nothing is safe in today's world, you here stories on the news everyday about people turning up missing or found dead. Be VERY CAREFUL!

I agree with Mandette, you need to be very careful, you don't know enough about him to go meeting him by yourself. You should always take a friend with you. I would never give a stranger to much information, email addy, home address, phone number... It's possible this person could become a stalker. I think your a very kind person to want to help this man out, but at the same time, you should have a friend or your husband with you when you meet with him.

I invited my jw wife to my "company party"
by kzjw inshe asked if it was an xmas party & i told her we won't be singing carols, but it's tied to the holiday.
we also celebrate our top employees with an award, the year i won was emotinal for me, but i had no one to share it with, which really sucked!

Christmas is everywhere this time of year, the mall's are all decorated in Christmas splendor, you step into a Wal-Mart and your greeted by a tall Christmas Tree, the grocery stores and other stores play Christmas music, tv commercials are with a Christmas Theme. Some towns have the Christmas parade of lights, ect... Maybe the JW's should just take December off and stay at home, that way they can give full service to Jahovah and not be stumbled by the rest of us worldly folks.
I had my grand-kids here tonight and I recorded all the Christmas stories, Rudolph, The Night Before Christmas and a couple others. They love the stories. I can do what I want in my home. I at least want them to know what they are asked to give up and let them try to figure out how Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is EVIL.
My heart really feels for you, that your wife won't attend a Christmas Party with you, does she really think demons will follow her home? That Jehovah will really make that the soul issue for keeping her out of Paradise Earth? Why can't they see how unbalanced this thinking is?
