Would You Go Back?
by Dune inyesterday, my aunt was talking to one of my siblings about how things have been changing in our [ex] congregation for the 'better'.. she mentioned how a new circuit overseer has come in and is shaking things up.
the co appointed a ministerial servant (someone, the po & secretary didn't like and i know would never have voluntarily suggested appointment) and some of the 'brothers' that have had no 'responsibility' ever are being given #4 talks.
she also mentioned that the book study will be cancelled and the meetings are being shortened.. a ministerial servant who had a vendetta against some of the elders wants me to talk to a co and basically tell him i left the congregation [and the religion] because of the incompetence of the elders.. i'm not talking to the co and i'm not 'blaming' anyone.

If you are looking for the spontaneous generation of new functionality, bacteria have been observed in nature to mutate new genetic information to be used in the consumption of new, and often completely unnatural, potential food supplies.
For example, a strain of Flavobacterium became capable of digesting nylon within forty years of the creation of nylon. Nylon, as you may or may not know, does not exist in nature and the mechanisms to digest it on a populational level did not exist prior to its existence. Within four decades, and possibly sooner (it was only noticed after four decades), this inviduals within this particular strain had undergone a frame shift mutation which allowed for new codons to be expressed leading to new functionality. Basically, the strain had added a new thymine nucleotide to its DNA.
What happens in a frame shift mutation is that nucleotides are either added or removed. This occurs commonly in nature, and usually has negative consequences for the organism. The reason for this is that genes are expressed in groups of threes, called codons, and if you add or take away a nucleotide, you not only alter the expression locally, but you can affect the entire genetic expression of an organism because the frame of expression shifts to accomodate the new, or deleted, nucleotide.
In this particular case, you had a group of bacteria exposed to nylon, and there was little else that they could consume. Naturally, most of the bacteria died of nothing more then starvation. It was due to the fact there was an existing bacterium or group of individuals that could break down nylon, which they were exposed to afterwards, that they could digest it when the rest of their local population could not. They thus survived to pass on these genes and a new strain emerged. Scientists have since then been able to induce this exact adaptation in other strains of bacteria, thus displaying the genetic flexibility of bacteria in general and showing the adaptive ability of nature.
This specific ability has probably emerged several times in nature. It was just that there was no nylon to consume and so it did not offer a survival advantage that could then be passed on. But that is the entire point of what evolution through natual selection is saying. If your genes cause you to be able to adapt better to your constantly changing environment you stand a better chance of being able to survive and thus pass on your genes. This leads to the biological diversity that we see on our planet today.

Mr. Kim,
I can not help that you attempt to speak with authority and then choose to create your own vocabulary.
Actually, I would contend that the ones who are most guilty of trying to make themselves look lofty in the eyes of others are those that profess to have hidden or special knowledge and then will not "share" it with others and then provide a generic excuse as to why, which usually involves pinning the blame on the other party that simply doesnt deserve or appreciate their insights. I am talking about you, by the way.
And the thread is not regarding who really rules the world, I am sure we would all be at least somewhat surprised with the actual answer. The post was regarding the economic policy and strategy of the United States. I suppose if you cant keep the two seperated, no matter how related they may in fact be, then you should probably start back at square one.
Here is a question for you though, if this mess has nothing to do with the dollar being used as a reserve currency, and is about ancient DNA and "lots of evidence" regarding the "ancient ones", then why the no bid contracts to Halliburton and other United States oil entities?

Mr. Kim,
Would you care to back up what you are saying? And by the way, "transportated" is not an actual word.
The premise of petrodollar warfare is pretty basic, and if one has even a simple understanding of macroeconomics you can quickly see how supply and demand of a currency plays a part in its market value.
Its not hard to grasp, there are only two currencies that exist in sufficient quantities for virtually all countries to grab as many of them as they want, the Euro and the Dollar. Until a few years ago, there was just one, the Dollar. It is the dumping of dollars onto the open market that is the biggest threat to our economy because the natural consequence of this is rampant inflation. Considering the fact that the United States imports so much because we have a consumer driven economy, this is a real problem and threat. The government will go to pretty much any length to keep this from happening.
We may have lost 4000 to 5000 soldiers, and hundreds of billions of dollars, invading Iraq, but that is literally a drop in the bucket of what would be lost here domestically if we suffered an actual plummet to the value of our currency.

Sisters who dared to take the lead...
by zeroday ini was out in service during a week day with a car group of sister pioneers...very few brothers went out in the week...we had 6 people and i was the only male...we arrived at our street and the head sister pioneer turned to everyone and said, "ok you 2 start at this end, you 2 start on the other side and work this way and me and bro (myself) will start here...she then got a horrified look on her face and turned to me and said, "if that's ok with you"...i just said, "sounds good to me"...at that moment i thought how sad she had to defer to my so called headship...

Totally...I was exactly the same way. To be honest, I felt ackward telling them what to do, I know that I didnt deserve to just cause I happened to be male...I certainly hadnt earned anything, and they were clearly more devoted and gave more to the organization then I did...
That made it even worse cause I was always the odd one out, not understanding how it could possibly be appropriate for me, or even worse that kid, to tell them what to do. And everyone else, including the sisters, actually believed that the most powerful being in the universe not only approved but was actually glad over something that pointless and stupid...
I guess it is just another post JW "wow" item...

For me, this was always huge, and I was always nauseated by this...
I remember when I was baptized, as a teenager, and suddenly I was telling a Special Pioneer what to do, and a ton of devoted Reg Pio sisters who literally went out in service every day and had been doing so for decades. I just didnt get it. But what really blew my mind was when there was this fricken 9 year old kid who got baptized and suddenly these women had to differ to this kids "headship" when he led the group and the kid couldnt even make it through the daily text...
Yeah, that is really how God wants it...

Bonafide,
I enjoyed your post, and I really feel for you. Some of your conversations with your family just sound eerily familiar, though I guess they shouldnt. After all, thats why they call it programming/brain washing.
I was an MS and Reg Pio for years, and was appointed when I was 18. I had an incredible amount of priviledges and did anything and everything I could for the organization.
After suppressing doubts for years, I remember suddenly feeling the same way you say you felt. All of a sudden I looked around and said, "where the hell am I and what am I doing?????" Once I realized it was about control, everything from the songs, to the outlines, to the experiences....everything, I couldnt ignore it anymore. I had to get away...
I saw you said you were a CO for seven years. When did you start having doubts? Were you still a CO? (sorry if you said that earlier, I may have missed it...)
Anyway, you are definitely not alone here. Welcome to Earth...
