You came to the right place. Most JW's do not believe. They read, listen and then try to repeat. People on this site will give you more accurate information as to the beliefs of JW's than most of the brain dead professing members.

Need some info
by ang inhello, i am currently writing a paper regarding the jehovah witness faith in regards to health care practices.
i've found plenty of information online, but i would like the opinion of a practicing jehovah's witness.
i am very interested in the viewpoints of your faith and would appreciate any insight you may have.

Society to start laminating paper backed publications
by Lady Zombie inat the wednesday night ministry school meeting, a letter from the society was read announcing that wtbts paperbacked publications will begin to be laminated.
according to the letter, this "will save approximately 2 million dollars per year," "lengthen the life of the publications," and "increase the attractiveness" of the publications.. so there's that.. .
also, will someone please explain to me why 85% of the congregation started smiling and nodding at this.. i sometimes think that headquarters could send the congregations boxes of turds and the jws would act like it was the best thing ever..

I did not erase my history so she would intentionally find out. She has, which is great because she really knows I am serious about calling B.S. on the Jdubs. She doesn't think I post though. I also know she has been lurking a little. LET HER FADE BEGIIN!!!

Are there any contracts signed between the WTS and its members?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini don't remember if i signed any papers stating that i would be a member of the jehovah's witnesses when i was baptized 30 years ago.
do elders, ministerial servants, pioneers,or bethel workers ever sign a contract stating what position they will hold?
if no contracts are ever signed, how can the wts enforce disfellowshipping of any of its members?

I would be shocked of the GB did not all sign confidentiality agreements after Rays book. Other than that, no signature required!

Elder's WIFE in college!
by hardhearted ini bet this is different than a minor child in college... i can only hope that the new information from the co will cause a lot of jw's and elders to scratch their heads and consider what exactly is going on here.
if this information causes an exodus of elders... that is very good.
imagine, an elder being removed because his wife is in college.

The growing irrelevance of the Watchtower message
by drew sagan inin many ways it appears as if the watchtower movement is slowing down.
a number of changes over the last few years certainly show that the watchtower is in a period of transition.
they have cut back on the number of magazines they print as well as lowered the cost of production by eliminating things like hard backed books.

Being run like the business that it is, the marketing to those under 40 is what I believe may cause a decrease in members. In our local area those under 40 will not leave because they have either reached a position or have too many family members that the shunning is just not worth it to them. Those over 40 have given so much to the cause that why risk dying at Armageddon "if" the JW happen to be right. If enough "weeding out" happened it might cause a domino effect. Also, look who is missing the meetings, it is those under 40. As brought out on another post there is such mixed messages- less meetings bit no education-that it is hard for anyone to figure out who is running this organization.

The Koolaid is ready!!!!
by whereami ine-mail going around jw land.. .
illustration about obedience given by a brother at a new kingdom hall in new england:.
'...do you realize that in the bible there are many instances of situations where jehovah's people were given directions that made no sense from a human standpoint and seemed totally illogical?
