by slimboyfat inwt november 1st has a two page article on how the early sahidic coptic version of the new testament translated god with an indefinite article in john 1:1 and argues this supports the new world translation's rendering "and the word was a god".
online witness apologists have been using this piece of evidence in support of the nwt for a few years now.
in particular solomon landers promoted the coptic version of john 1:1 in discussions with evangelicals and other who oppose witness theology.

i now study the bible with various groups.by viewing this watchtower i can see the r and f are not spiritually fed but are led to do what the wts society wants them to do.the only people who join up are ones with no bible knowledge.how many serious bible students ever made them their choice?

thanks for your comments.it finally hit me.what a mind controlling instrument the watchtower study is.read the paragraph -answer the question from the paragraph.i could sense the relief in the audience when it was finaly over.i also got a kick out of how some would interject there own rigid views into their comments.now that i am progressing in rel bible truth-i can see right through their format of the lesson.gods wrath is waiting for you if you do not do what they are bringing out.salvation depends on obedience to the wts.

607bce or 586/587 bce ? which is it?
by Number1Anarchist inok this is very difficult for me because i just started studing this question.
what i would like to know is what have you decided from your studies and does anyone know the statistics on how many beleive in the 607 dat and how many beleive in the 586/587 date.. the watchtower likes to say they agree with the 607 because that number is based on the bible when the 586/587 is based on secular history.. from what ive read so far the mojority thinks it to be 586/587 because most searches ive done give me that date.. what have you come up with in your research?
i feel like you almost need to be a scholar to figure this out.

Parents with JW Adult Children Shunning Them - How Are You Coping ?
by flipper ini do understand your plight - as i have 2 adult jw daughters shunning me aged 21 and almost 20. they married witness boys 2 years ago and it's been 1 year since i've spoke with my younger daughter, 5 months since i went to coffee with my older daughter.
i call them, but they won't return my calls.
i tell them i love them, but it's as if i don't exist.
