Invites, Parking and the DC - a true laughable story
by wizzstick ini'm in a major uk city, and we're assigned to an out of city location for our district convention.. to set the scene this site is off a busy motorway (freeway).
it's a football (soccer) stadium.
there is nothing around aside from one petrol (gas) station which also has a tiny supermarket in it.

Manditory Security Clearence and Identification Badge For Any Door to Door Canvassers Religous or Commercial
by frankiespeakin inpeople going door to door uninvited should be required to get a licence and sercurity check if they are going door to door and required to show it on demand while engaged in the door to door work.. after all it is a perfect stranger for the most part who could be an imposter or maybe even a violent criminal or rapist.
no one convicted of sexual molestation or violent crimes should be given a permit.
an added benifit would be less people knocking on your door trying to sell you something be it a vaacum cleaner or armegeddon life insurance protection.. what is your opinon?.

I understand the arguments about freedom of speach...but I don't see a problem to having to get some kind of permit to go door to door. You have to get a permit to drive, permit to build something on your property, etc, etc...
I wouldn't have a problem if the watchtower needed to pay a permit fee for ea witness going door to door...say $10 per year, per pub in the US. Would we all like to see the WTS have to shell out 10mil.

Here it is:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxx, Last year about this time I wrote the guy who usually does the articles about the Watchtower convention (Sorry I can't remember his name) usually it's the same cut and paste, generic article that highlights the things the Witnesses want to get out there in print. I am a witness that no longer believes the current doctrine...In this religion that is like a death sentence. They do not allow dissent or disagreement. Doing so, can cause one to become shunned...lose friends and family. I know people that have committed suicide from the effects of being shunned. It's truly a destructive religion. Your photographer will take pictures of smiling, happy people...but some or many will be faking it, like me. There is no other option for us if we do not want to lose our families. I would love to see some research put into these articles and raise some of the concerning aspects of Jehovah's Witnesses. Just google 'Candace Conti'...or visit: http://jwsurvey.org/ to get some info about some of the current topics that will be presented at the DC. See: "Human Apostates" for example. Another great site is www.jwfacts.com These are written by former members who are shunned simply because they expose the duplicity of the organization. Thanks for your time! Tresdecu (I would love to give you my real name but that would get me exposed...and I would lose everything...sad...)

Wizz...thanks for the translation for us 'Merican Brothers! ;-)
Thanks too for posting that ridiculous bit of ridiculousness. It shows the higher-ups must know, that nobody really takes these invites to heart. What a complete waste of time.

Gerrit Loesch was at our DC today!
by goatshapeddemon inso, unexpectedly, the final talk was announced today and to my surprise and evil glee, they announced gerrit loesch as the speaker!
first off, at the beginning of his talk, he interrupted himself in the middle of his sentence to scold the microphone brother to lower my mike it's right in my face.. anyway, it was the talk on inspired truth, vs. inspired falsehoods.
he went through 6 expressions inspired by the demons.

What a pompass tool to humiliate the poor microphone bro. Why not show the 'spirit of christ' and make a minor adjustment, and move on with your bull$hit. Maybe that simple display of hautyness (sorry I can't spell tonight) will wake some people up to the utter ridiculousness of this "loving" org.
I wonder if that was manuscript? Will be interesting to hear ours. I look forward to sharing with my wife how stupid those somments are.
Thank-you for sharing the drivel :-)

My response to any one who asks why I am fading
by Skinnedsheep ini have thought a lot about what to say when i am approached.
it will kill my fade, but oh well.. "after the new light i had to test my faith and i couldn't prove to myself that the slave was limited to the governing body.".
if cornered by an elder...."can you prove to me from the scriptures that matt.

How much money did you give the Watchtower?
by Emery inwhen you were a believer did you give large donations to the society?
if so how much did you give?
i know an elder who's a chiropractor and he generously gives $400-800 a month to the society.

I was the accounts servant for about 3 years...I HATED that job, looked for every excuse to be done with it, finally got married and moved out of town for about 6 months...That did it! ;-)
That being said...I hardly gave anything, a random 20 or 10 every now and then. I did feel guilty about it...but as many humans, I am a good rationalizer! So I talked myself out of feeling too guilty.
Some brothers and sisters contributed the exact same amount to ea. fund seperately every month, like it was a bill that they budgeted for.
Glad I never wasted too much money.
