by minimus inif you were a male growing up in the congregation, it was expected that you would "reach out" for a position in the hall.
some of us did just that and others didn't want any "privileges"!.
i knew some people, especially "sisters", that really wanted their relative or good friend to be appointed so they might "change things".

I hated being an elder's daughter for 21 years and the PO's wife for another 21 years. I hated that it meant so much to my father and my ex!!! The congregation always came first - I felt like an orphan and a widow most of my life.

If your ass looks good in tight jeans - GOOD FOR YOU!!!! It is a hell of a lot of work after 30 to work out everyday - but the reward is looking good in tight clothes (at any age)!!!!!!!!! I sure hope I can still wear tight jeans at 75.

Lost Generation: I plan on a serious weekend of college and pro football viewing...yeah kinda lame but Alabama-Florida should be awesome.

I hope the OK Sooners kick UT's ass tomorrow! I also hope my CU Buffs look awesome against Georgia - I am going to the game and they better come through tomorrow. And of course GO BRONCOS!
Besides football I am going to a pumpkin patch to pick pumkins, then going through an advanced corn maze and off to find some slutty, sleazy comstume for the Halloween party four weeks from tomorrow.
It should be a great weekend!!

I broke my collar bone
by poppers init turns out that my biking accident on july 6th resulted in a broken collar bone.
i didn't know this until the va took x-rays yesterday - it took until then to get an appointment; my request for x-rays was submitted on july 16. fortunately, i've been mending nicely despite my 300 mile bike ride the last week of july and a 120 mile ride two weeks later.
i still haven't had a decent night's sleep since it happened - i'm exhausted..

Hey Flipper, Your damn Giants probably put us out for the year. Cain is just TOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD! They actually deserve to go on - their pitching is so impressive.
The game was a lot of fun anyway. 90 degrees and not a cloud in the sky- the Rocky Mtns in the background. We had perfect seats except for the two Giant's fans sitting in front of us. Next year I will put some money on the game (I bet you will too)
Oh well, it is now all about the OK Sooners, CU Buffs, Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos!! Looking forward to Broncos beating the 49ers on the 31st
