the kids are very keen on having a christmas tree and some decorations.. is there any date these are supposed to go up or are we going to look really silly having it up mid november ?

We always put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Its so nice to finally be in a position to enjoy the holidays with a clear conscience, ya know?

i burnt my index finger on the pad of it... .

I like Gold Bond Medicated Lotion. Its in a gold tube and has a cooling effect, similar to Noxema. After a couple applications, the burning sensation usually goes away. Unless the blisters are open, this is the best thing I've tried especially with the kids

It also works great for sunburn.

Why I don't Want children

people often ask me why i don't have children...."is it because you don't like them?

The reason I wanted to have a baby was because my husband and I loved eachother and I wanted to have "his" child, not because I wanted "a" child. I remember honestly, really wanting to have "his" child. It was just a feeling. We really wanted to share in this experience.

Sometimes its almost like people arent seeing humans as individuals anymore.

Like, oh, I want "a baby" or people will get married because they want "a wife" or they want "a husband"

It just seems strange to me.

As far as the world today not being safe for our children, we love our kids and are raising them the best we know how. We do our best to keep them safe and I dont think thats selfish. Seeing them happy makes us happy.

Being a good parent is one of the most unselfish things a person can do.

i don't think i will never join another organized religion.

that being said however, i have enjoyed going on occasion to non-denominational churches, watching the band play music, and the speaker.

if you did or would attend another church regularly, which one would you go to and why?

I hate all organized religion.

If there is a God, I dont think he cares what building you go in to worship him or what group you belong to.

Religion is basically men using the bible to control and manipulate.

Earthly Resurrection Belief is INSANE

i know this topic gets mentioned a lot, but it still upsets me whenever i think about it.

its so insane, and i get so angry that i never questioned it or used my own brain to see the absurdity in it when i was still "in".. what got me started today is the sheer numbers involved.

the dubs believe only they will survive the big a. but not all of them - because those leading double lives etc will be killed as well as the rest of the 6 billion people on earth.

I know what you mean.

I just have this nagging feeling there is more to life than what we know. Its hard to explain, I sense things, dream things, especially since people close to me have passed away. Its very strange. I have become way more spiritual since leaving the org.

Maybe its just the demons corrupting me. Thats what my family says anyway.

one of the girls that we took to maui a few years ago just called to invite us to her wedding.

I just cant believe this is still going on in society. I mean, isnt e xcommunication basically a form of discrimination?

I would love to take a stand, like you have.

I have about had it with my judgmental JW family. Im reeeeally tired of them believing they are better than everyone and treating others as though they are as good as dead. I have never been baptized and cant be disfellowshipped but I havent been completely honest with th em about how much I know and where I get my information.

Today I found out my aunt blew off my younger sisters baby shower because my sister isnt married. My aunt told her, she wouldnt condone and support her "behavior & lifestyle" and would not attend the baby shower. I am so pissed. My sister is only 19 and is struggling finacially and emotionally. She is pregnant, has a two year old, and her loser boyfriend is in jail. The last thing she needed was to be treated like this. I am sooooo sick of my hypocritical family, I could puke.

Anyway, Im all rattling away....
