Sister dies (?) at DC

no, this is not a joke.

having actually managed to survive through the entire 3 grueling days of the dc after attending the friday session today (hit sat and sun last weekend) i was initially going to make a criticism of some of the parts & points at the dc.

however, something that i witnessed today changed my mind.

Stupid brothers... gosh, they can't even take a moment to address this issue.

I knew a sister trying to look after her screaming child during the Sunday meeting, (in the coat room area)... the brother from the platform who was in the middle of his talk ask: "can someone please go tell that sister to stop her child's screaming." Insensitive pricks. But I guess a screaming child takes precedence over and elderly woman’s life in order to make an announcement from the platform... ? I think I am going to be sick

my daughter's family have lossed every possession in the midwest (indiana) flood.

i have a friend who has been at beth-hell since early in 1971. he is arthritic and went one time too many to the infirmary and finds himself with no job, no education, and no benefits after nearly 40 years working his butt off at brooklyn then at patterson.....please help me spread this video around.. thanks kids!.

My favourite location was near Dundas & Kipling, and it's gone. The last one I went to was on Dundas St. at 427. I think it's still there. I noticed one recently on Renforth Dr. south of Eglinton but haven't checked it out yet.

I remember the Bloor/Runnymede location and then later seeing the Kipling location years ago. I didn't know it was a chain of restaurants... I'll have to go someday! But seriously, that is where you went for a break… WOW.

they made an announcement that you could no longer wear Cologne or after shave to the meetings.

Ok, so I respected that because I didn't want to cause troubles for someone if they had allergies. But what I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS... why the hell are sisters allowed to put on HEAVELY SCENTED MOISTURISING LOTION on their hands DURING the meeting... I'll never know. That stuff made me gag every time.

So why is yoga bad again... I never understood that rule. Romance novels... my mom is going to hell for sure for that one.

Speaking about modest dress... When I was pregnant my boobs grew like water mellows.. but then again so did my ass. Anyhoo, I was quite heavy and it was hard to find clothes that fit well enough. I mean here my belly is protruding out, pulling my dress and yes making my breasts a little more exposed than normal. No... the brothers didn't complain... I believe I was speaking with the CO or some other prominent brother (can't recall, he was visiting) and he couldn't keep his eyes off my chest. NO JOKING HERE I was trying to have a conversation with him and his eyes kept glancing down repeatedly. I literally had to take my sons blanked (since he napped at the meetings) and hold it up in a casual way to discreetly cover my chest, so as to not embarrass this brother any further. Perverted little prick.

So, can everyone help and list something with a reference to it?
