Okay, now I must ask... what did you notice
about his attitude? Please tell more.
does any of our former bethel workers know if there is anyone still at bethel (brooklyn) that personally knew judge rutherford?.
rutheford died in 1942, so there is a very real possibility that there is now no one around who knew the man.. as for charles taze russell, he died in 1916 and so there is no one still alive who knew him, let alone even met him!
even a baby born in 1916 would be 92 years old today!.

today, i am 55 years old and all of the'anointed' jw's are at least 50 years old and there are over 9,000 of them.. .
between the 1959 and the 1960 memorial, 600 'anointed' jw's went to heaven and into the presence of god:.
1959 memorial partakers world-wide 14,511. .

In latest WT theorizing... NO. There may be anointed who will be around even after Armageddon.

in 1989, when the wt said, "the preaching work will be completed before the end of this century", i believed it.
then when they changed it in the bound volume, i was a little nervous, but i didnt say anything.. but then when i was a missionary, and i personally went to the branch office about a pedophile, and they told me to leave it in jehovah's hands, and that jehovah will erase the girl's mind and to stay out of it, that really bothered me.
i couldnt sleep.
Hey BonaFide (in good faith).
The breaking point is different for each individual.
For me it was seeing that the organization is does
not look for the benefit of the sheep. They look for
their own benefit, no matter what the cost to the
brothers and sisters in the faith. That clearly told
me they were full of it and the feeling has grown over
the years. You can only say you care for the sheep so
many times and not show it before it becomes obvious
how flagrantly greedy and uncaring the WT organizational
machine is. It has a spirit of its own, it has become
a beast of Apocalyptic proportions, once you get bitten
by the beast in sheep's clothing it hurts, and it will
sooner or later bite. It always bites. Some JWs have a
higher tolerance than others for pain, and some even
like it, some even bite others in return and like the
taste of blood, usually those end up in posts of authority.
But so many shy away from the biting beast that it needs
to keep finding new blood to feed on, because it's nothing
but a blood sucking, life taking machine without a soul.
I feel really bad for all the brothers and sisters who
are truly sheep being abused and mistreated by this
medieval, megalomaniacal machine incorporated that speaks
grandiose things about itself while demeaning those who
would follow Christ if only shown how. I'm fully convinced
that the vast majority of R&F JWs are good people, they
want to do what is right and treat others right, and
want to follow a life based on the principles found
in the Scriptures.
Wheeew, glad I got that out.

I consider myself a Christian, and I'm still a Jehovah's Witness
by association. For you to make a blanket statement like that
and not base it on any evidence seems at best very short sighted
and quite condemnating. I disagree with your opinion and would
add that anyone declaring others who believe themselves to be
Christians not to be such is overstepping their authority in
Christ. Let Christ be the judge of it.

i just read on an apostate site that the december km contains the details of the lowered hours for pioneers.
can anyone confirm this?
scan?
In my congo the PO, excuse me the Coordinator of the Body of Elders, hasn't even released to the elders the November KM yet. He's holding out. Maybe because that's the on with the name change for his position. We know he gets them delivered to his home address weeks ahead, but then he decides to read through them, make all his Service Meeting schedules and what not, check with the School Overseer, who used to be me, about the school schedule and then when he's done with that, he'll pencil in the names in tiny-itsy-beetsy printed script on the corner of the first page then he waits for the next Service Meeting before the month to give them out to the bookstudy conductors, ehem I mean bookstudy overseers, which I guess after the new year it will be to all the service group overseers... if I have that terminology right, or are they service group coordinators then, it does get confusing with all these changes, but changes go slow in my congo. We still have one sister who actually remembers Judge Rutherford calling R.V.'s "back calls" so that'll tell ya sompin'. Anyways I'm hoping for a PDF of the December KM through this board or the ExTJ.com/foro if not I'll get it by usual means say by the end of November if all goes well and my PO doesn't break the pencil lead too many times.
just got in email a few minutes ago...... note, there are three different sets of notes, they may seem repetitive but please read all three as some notes may have left out things where other notes added other points......... .
annual report .
the holy spirit is just jumping off of me!
What a morbid sense of humor the note taker and Bro Herd seem to have:
> Bro Herd, member of the governing body
> opened the meeting by stating,
> in the voice of Bro Sydlick
> (he sounded just like him, it was quite comical)
Bro Sydlick has been dead since April of 2006 and here Bro Herd one
of his fellow Governing Body members is imitating his voice.
Sounds too creepy to be funny to me.

the brother who over many decades had been the top-dog in spain branch of the wt, antonio "toti" rodriguez was demoted as the head of the legal dept.

The brother who over many decades had been the top-dog in Spain Branch of the WT, Antonio "Toti" Rodriguez was demoted as the head of the Legal Dept. and has been assigned a desk in the "Service Dept." at Ajalvir, (Spanish Bethel). Word has it that the recent ruling in Spanish courts against the Society over Social Security contributions and pensions for Bethel workers was the reason. It's going to cost the WT Society millions, but I'm sure they'll pass the cost down to the R&F as the letter from WT Headquarters to the Spanish congregations says making it seem like it was their idea, what a loving arrangement to provide for those who've worked so long in furthering Kingdom interests. But really didn't "Toti" try real hard to keep the Spanish Gov't from collecting Social Security and pensions for people employed at Bethel??? What a loving arrangement indeed, that you need the courts to force your hand.
yeah it's me again... watching the news then reading peoples posts here and other sites... i've become completely freaked once again.
i can't even sleep tonight.. i'm so worried.... what have people been saying?
do the higher ups think?

Yup. There's many January's a coming.
Your quite troubled about the great
tribulation Hikaru, then do yourself
a favor and read In Search of Christian
Freedom by Raymond Franz, that'll keep
you busy and making progress to understanding
what it means to be a Christian and where you'll
need to keep looking for the comfort you need
to get through each night of worries.
You can get it online at
http://www.commentarypress.com
or if you don't want to pay the 10 bucks for it
you can ask someone here to email it for you,
it's on PDF and you wont have to wait. You
could be reading it right now. Although
I'd suggest paying the 10 bucks to
download your own copy, your
conscience will feel better
about it... and talking
about conscience while
you're downloading
that book there's
another I'd like
to tell you about
it's called "Crisis of Conscience"
by the same author and on the same
website, and that one is only 7 bucks
such a deal, ain't it?
Guaranteed that if you read the books
and then start on your own search of
what Christian freedom means by going
through the scriptures you'll feel a
lot better about making it through the
Great Tribulation.
Otay, now take a deep breath after
reading this long post and get some
sleep, will ya!
With a big hug.

imagine you lived thru many, many false prophecies 1879......1914.......1918......1925 {when the other franz's gave up}.......1940's {rutherford said the fascist would start armagedon}..........and then you start you own false prophecy 1975........what is wrong with this man?
he saw the damage this caused....the thousands that left in droves each time!
yet before he goes senile he has one more crack at it, sending maybe 1.5 million brothers apostate??
Hey Seek! According to Ray Franz his uncle never felt he needed to get re-baptized since he felt his baptism by immersion when young was enough. Also Fred Franz was Rutherford's Greek expert. There's a typewriter typed out Greek interlinear on lined paper in Bethel's archives.
