How much of the Damage do you hide here?
by KW13 inits true many of you, myself included come here and express how we feel, but do you ever disguise how damaged an individual you are, even in real life?
sometimes i wonder (aside from here) whether people really can grasp what it means to have grown up in a world that means nothing now and isnt even relevant.

Who ever said other Christians weren't loving??
by Burger Time intoday me and my friend went to lunch, while we were waiting to pay a guy made some small talk with us.
well as i went to pay he swatted my card away and paid for both me and my friend.
he said something along the lines of, "you boys look like you work hard it's on me".

That was a nice gesture on his part.
I do that quite frequently
Always have
It's fun when it's unexpected
When grocery buying
I like to get in line
behind an elderly one
and pick up their bill for them
The first couple of times
I did it freaked everyone out.
Now the cashiers know me
and become part of the plot
I don't do much else in the way
of charity. I find this way
much more satisfying.
Many of these folks really need
the help
I did this when I didn't consider
myself a "Christian".
Just seemed to be a nice thing to do. -

by snowbird ini was notified of this 15 minutes ago.. my boss found out that i have an eidetic memory, and is quite impressed that i can tell him who has paid fines, when, and how much.
he's a mess!.
i get a plaque, a reservation for the end-of-year banquet, and - if we had such a thing - parking space #1. the best he can do is a space right alongside the highway!

When I was in grade school
the psychologist told my parents
that I had extraordinary memory
and quite possibly it was
photographic.
After testing over a 3 month period
it was determined it was just very,
very good.
When I would give talks in MS I would
never use notes. Funny thing thing is
I was called on the carpet and got bad
reviews for doing it.
I'll never forget, I was told privately
that some viewed my ability as boastful
and that I should try and repress it.
Jackasses!!!
As I discovered over the years,
it is also accurate over the very long term.
Now in my 50's recall has slowed down
considerably, but eventually it
comes to me.
After all the years of my 30's and 40's
I guess I didn't burn it all out after all.

" i went to mts, took 600 pages of notes, went to my assignment, i am still serving under the mts program.
for a few years until my circumstances changed.

Economy Sucks ! Any Self Employed JWDers Having Trouble Collecting Money ?

i have been in business in commercial janitorial for almost 26 years.
aside from one customer going bankrupt 15 years ago i have generally been able to get people to pay on time !

Both my wife and myself separate and together
Never had any problem with timely payment
Any thing past net terms
interest starts accumulating
All work performed via
contracts or engagement documents
Any additional work performed
had to have a signed addition to work order
Went through some very bad economies
While things did slow down a bit
Always got paid
Never had to go to court
A lot depends, though
where you are in the food chain
I was in manufacturing and
custom discretionary retailing
The wife and now me have an accounting firm
Small one now. Only a few select clients.
Previously had over 500 clients

Advice: Don't let the bill get to high
You will be forced to settle for less than
full amount owed because you will be desperate
and will have lost all you leverage
