has anyone else noticed that the last thursday of the year is christmas?

i wonder how many people are going to make the last book study on that night...lol

Times and Unforeseen Occurances

i can barely remember the anguish i used to go through as a witness trying to figure out if i had jehovahs spirit with me, or if jehovah was allowing satan to test me or if things happened because of times and unforeseen occurances.. confusion.....anxiety i would pray, pray pray to jah for guidance.

anytime something good happened it was always jehovah watching out over me.. now, i was not born a witness...i became a witness, then i was df, reinstated, and now apostate.

and things have happened in my life pretty much the same in all circumstances.

Short of elders/MS why the silly microphone policy

ok - in our circuit anyway loads of brothers who get less than the national average hours can not do microphones etc.

now if you are short of elders it makes zero sense.

why not let every brother who is a regular publisher do mics/platform/literature/mags etc?.

What goals do JWS have now?

after being the org for years and years, one becomes accustomed to jw activties, weekly meetings, assbly, etc... it becomes a habit, a routine, and something that as a jw ,you just do.

but one time jws had "spiritual goals" full time sevice, positions in the org.

do jws still have such goals ?

Is Jdubs practice of Teenage baptism really any better than Infant Baptism?

so i was thinking the other day about how the jdubs always mock the catholics for baptizing infants who can't make a true commitment to god so the sybol of dedication is empty.

well, as anyone who's been in the org knows there is a culture of pressuring teenagers to get baptized.

if u r over 12yo it is a question that is constantly asked.

Fun game for the convention

so you already know how much the parking nazi's aggravate me.. so every time that we have gone to the dc, i have my kids guess how many morons it take to help me park my care ( i word it nicely as i don't want to be a jerk in front of my kids ) the last time, it took 15 idiots to point me to a parking spot.. guess how many people it took to help me park when i went to a nfl football game last year ( 75,000 people attended the game ).....2....one on the street with a flag and a second to collect the $$.. the amazing thing was that there were no accidents at the football game and all of the cars somehow fit in the spaces without 4 teenage jw's pointing at the exact smae spot..

you can always tell your rank as a brother at the memorial by the following:.

parking lot attendant = just doing enough to have the boe remember your name.

outside attendat = you smell pretty bad and you embarrass the boe.

Question about Conscience matter

ok, i will keep this breif.. i have always had a problem with conscience matter's and here is my reasoning.

whenever a conscience matter issue comes up, they always end with a comment something like "whatever your conscience allows you to do" and you will answer to god for your actions.. i believe there is no such of a thing as a conscience matter for the following reasons:.

1) if there was a conscience matter posed to jesus, what side of the issue would he choose?
