That's what I'm doing. It makes it very easy to cheat as needed. Pick a number between 5 and 9 ( want to make it believable ) and send it in

JW's and not having real friends
by Iwonder17 ini have been a jw my whole life and am just realizing now that i have no friends.
the 1 or 2 good friends that i had as a child have since moved away and now i am stuck trying to make friends with people in the hall that i am in that don't want anything to do with me cuz i'm not a ms, elder or pioneer.. it's weird, because i look at facebook or other sites where people talk about their day or what they have been doing and it seems like people "in the world" have a lot of friends and have a good/happy life.. i think that the jw's are so busy with all of the wtbs stuff that they don't have the energy to take time to be friends with others.. i am sad...cuz i don't see a way to get any realy friends as too much of my family is in the "truth" and i'm stuck in it .

It's just weird that I don't think that the dubs even realize how crappy their lives are. They are so busy, they don't take time to make meaningful and lasting relationships.
How many times have you heard to the meetings " the best way to get to know someone is to spend time in the ministry with them" OMG it makes me want to puke

I had a family member df'd and I talked to them all the time. It is a dumb rule for families to follow. I can almost understand other members of the cong, but not family!!!

An experiment in prayer
by Iwonder17 inso i was just reading another post about prayer and i wanted to see what everyone thought about this.. i am a parent and as most parents i would do anything for my kids.
whenever studying the jw books and it would talk about jehovah, i could always liken it to me and how i would treat my kids ( or at least try to treat them ) a few years ago when i really started to have doubts i asked jehovah to give me a sign that i am on the right course and if so then i would stick to it for life and never question it again.
here is what i did.. the scripture in judges 6:36-40 about gideon asking god to make the fleece wet and the ground dry and then the following night he asked for the ground to be wet and the fleece dry.. well i figured that god would want me to know the answer to my prayer.

So I was just reading another post about prayer and I wanted to see what everyone thought about this.
Here is what I did.
The scripture in Judges 6:36-40 about Gideon asking God to make the Fleece wet and the ground dry and then the following night he asked for the ground to be wet and the fleece dry.
Well I figured that god would want me to know the answer to my prayer. I promised him ( and he knows that I would keep that promise ) that if he answered my prayer that I would never speak a word of it to anyone.
My request was that he change a simple thumb tack on my wall from yellow to black. I didn't care how it happened, or even if someone else replaced the tack. All that I cared about that the tack would one day be black. Now I know that some people will think that this is testing god, but if your child was in agony wouldn't you help them? Well I am in agony as to what to believe and I think that he would answer me.
What are your thoughts?

New JW hobby when going to the KH
by Iwonder17 inso now that i am mentally out ( but still chained for family reasons ) i need to find some hobbies to do while at the meetings.. i would like to do some things that will disrupt the meeting, but without getting caught.
for example, i would love to screw with the sound system while people are commenting ( particularly the elders ).
any ideas?.

How will field service be organised under the new book study arrangement?
by truthseeker indoes anyone know how field service will be organised now that book studies in private homes have ended?.
will there be field service groups?
will there be elders assigned to each group?
-
Iwonder17
There are field service groups that are about the same size as the old book study groups and an elder is in charge of each group. From what I understand, they don't want any groups meeting at the khall, just homes.
