In recent years, we've seen dozens, if not hundreds of martyrs within Islam. What conlusions can we draw from this?

what are the JW rules once baptised??
by Kate82 inon my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??
what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).
i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.

One more thing, Kate.
They change the rules on a regular basis. It's their way or the highway.

"I would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised."
Iit's never too late. You can leave the organization at any time.
When you have your six-month home Bible Study, you can ask about these rules.

"As i am very easily led at the moment."
Stay away from religion, in this case. Otherwise, you could easily get recruited into a destructive group. There are thousands of them out there.
Are you getting treatment for your depression?

What's true and what isn't?
by chapstick inalthough i was born into the wts i haven't been involved in it for decades, i do have a personal prediction based on about 6.56% of the societies doctrines, decades of meditation, crazy women, drug abuse and bible stories that i memorized in my childhood.
here goes: the great tribulation and armageddon (which started with the first shots fired from syria into turkey last month), a physical ascention for a few, the shocking appearance of great signs and wonders in the sky and the disclosure that aliens were/are our ancestors who colonized the planet will take place in the next weeks to such a degree that will be undeniable to everyone.
the economic and political collapse of the western democracies and the opening of literal, newly found scrolls (one set under the right paw of the sphinx) will be on everyones mind and they will reveal the truth about religion and the dirty laundry of nearly every political and religious figure on the planet both now and in the past; it will be the most shocking disclosure of criminality, genocide and debauchery that has ever taken place on this planet.

Advise Needed : Should I stay should I go ?
by raymond frantz ina year ago i started looking heavily into "apostate" websites ,now after a year i'm convinced that i have been lied to and kept in the dark for so long .i hate going to the meetings having to cope with these disgusting watchtower articles .unfortunatelly my family are still in wife and kids and i have raised them to be good witnesses .i feel betrayed by the watchtower and i'm sure if it wasn't for these evil men in brooklyn 99% of all witnesses that wake up would not have an issue changing all the wrong doctrines .these satanic men who dare call themselves "anointed " have spend almost 40 years, especially since they changed the baptismal vows and after raymond franz's exit ,creating a "prison of the mind" ,if anyone wants to leave they have to kiss goodbye friends ,family and start all over again .what shall i do stay in and try to work against them or leave?
any advice will be appreciated.

Raymond: 99% of the JWs you know will die as people who believe WT is God's Organization. Proceed accordingly.

I'm sorry that you're in that position. Many of us have been there.

Do you know of any U.S. JWs who have voted without getting DA'd?
by Open mind ini recently registered to vote in california and will be going to the polls on election day to experience what many americans do as soon as they turn 18. i could mail in my ballot, but i want to check the whole scene in-person.. .
i posted this info on another forum recently and have been told that i'm as good as da'd if i'm discovered.
i'd like to pose this question here since jwn gets much more traffic.

OM: So long as you don't confess to voting, you should be fine. My concern was that you may have interpreted that article as New Light on Christian neutrality.
Here's an example of how JWs view voting. Watch the video.

(Everything I say here is my opinion. However, I'm on your team, not theirs. These people don't play fair.)

You can be DF'd for *anything* that three elders agree upon. Willingly participating in an election is considered a violation of "Christian neutrality".
If you do not want to be excommunicated, you must keep your involvement with the Wild Beast a secret.
When the article says it's a "personal decision" to vote, it's the same as fornication being a personal decision. You personally must decide if you are going to engage in this conduct, then live with the consequences.
If anyone thinks they can attend a judicial committee, and point to this article as justification for violating their Christian neutrality, good luck.
