007,
Do you ever think there is a reason to kill someone? Your answer to that question is highly relevant to your last post.

usa today everyone has a gun, why?.....to protect themselves...from who?
other folks with guns!.....yes it's in your laws...but they were written when the british ruled you.
one school gun killing every week does not happen anywhere else in the world....maybe you need more guns to protect your kids.....one in the lunchbox.....does anyone else see this.

witness007 is clearly trolling with this thread.
Brother Apostate was right.

beks,
I have no problem with reasonable regulations, as long as they do not interfere with a person trying to defend himself.
I'm not familiar with each State's laws. Here in MS, if you purchase a gun, retail, they clear you with the FBI. I think private sales are mostly unregulated. (The data about guns used in criminal activities have not convinced our legislature to restrict private sales. I'm unfamiliar with this data. Perhaps someone else can chime in.)
I am a permit holder. They did a background check and they fingerprinted all ten of my fingers. There is a 120-day waiting period on the permit. (Most people call the permit a Concealed Carry Permit.)

Personally, I want a firearm. Even if the evil people are only armed with short sticks or rocks or rubber band shooters, I want a firearm. I don't want to break a sweat, when I defend myself and my family.
My natural environment, here in Mississippi, includes posionous snakes, alligators and wild dogs. A firearms assists in giving me an edge in the food chain.
The 2nd Amendment doesn't give us the right, it protects us from anyone that would attempt to infringe upon our rights.
As recently as this year, in the Heller decision, the Supreme Court of the U.S. ruled that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual's right to bear arms. Moreover, our new President has assured us that he is not a gun "grabber".
Would I prefer to live in a world in which firearms are not necessary? Of course. Do I believe that will ever happen? No.
As with a car or motorcycle, in the hands of an inexperienced or untrained owner, a firearm has the potential to be moe harmful than helpful. I encourage owners to practice regularly.
new flash i did not like quantum of solice 2008.....first ever bond movie that did not work for me, trying to make it a part two of casino royale?
bond has turned into "the bourne ulitimatum....or mission impossible 3.. my favourite bond as a kid and today is roger moore....i thought he brought some humor to the role i saw octopussy 12 times....also pierce brosnan was born to be bond with his coolness..
Sean Connery. Goldfinger and From Russia with Love are my favorites.
I didn't like QoS, either. It felt like Bourne IV, with no relation whatsoever to the Bond canon.
I have all of the movies on DVD.
is it that they are masochists?.
they are already being disobedient to the "slave" by coming to these internet sites.. so, why do they do it??
?.
Athanasius you are someone I respect but what people fail to appreciate the thing that keeps me a JW despite the imperfections in people from gb downwards is Jehovah, the one thing this forum has shown me that in this one instance it is black and white, I don't think a single one of the ex-Jws I've met on JWD has retained there relationship and love of Jehovah its lost with leaving the faith. I don't want to replace Jehovah with Jesus worship he is my king but not my God.
You can read hearts and minds? Cool.
***w9 71/1p.11par.18 let all glorify jehovah!
both the increasing light on bible prophecy and the anarchy of this dying world cry out that the end of satans system is very, very near!
a year or so ago they also said it was imminent....and in 1969 they swore it was just a few years away............so for a fds that claims godly direction...he sure has gotten them lost a bunch on this path to everlasting life....funny...not once did he do that to his org.
how many other christian faiths are preparing their people?
I can only assume this is why most cults do not want to you to associate with non-members. If you simply talk with people and ask them to explain their beliefs, you can learn all sorts of things. You will hear personal stories about their faith and details of their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
One need only talk to any self-described evangelical Christian to realize that they are very much so focused on "preparing" their people.
the following 2 questions when they arrive at your door with the watchtower society's 'good news' and their jesus (the prehuman angel michael, the human jesus and a resurrected spirit creature [6/15/06 watchtower page 30]) who is 3 persons in one:.
the first question is, if you truly abstain from blood, how can you belong to a religion that allows parts of blood?.
the second question is, would you donate blood so that the fractions allowed by the watchtower society could save the life of one of your jehovah's witness brothers or sisters?.
couldn't be considered life blood anymore
"Fractions" save the lives of hemophiliacs every day. (Clotting Factor VIII, once banned by WT, now permitted, is an example of a life-saving fraction)
Help me understand the way you think, please. Are you suggesting that any particular component that will NOT save your life is a conscience matter? Conversely, are you saying that any fraction that could save your life is prohibited in the Scriptures?
Where do the Scriptures speak of blood fractions? Watchtower says hemoglobin is acceptable, but red blood cells are not. Which Scriptures can clear that up for me?
well david reed was really great!!!!
i enjoyed him immensly thanks rick for inviting this very very interesting man to be a guest.
then the following speaker ,raven?
Thanks for that update. I'm looking forward to listening.
Does anyone have an MP3? Streaming from that site is cumbersome.
i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.
i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.
those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.
a failing most faiths fell into
Most faiths? Not so much.
Apocalyptic and Millenarian movements are obsessed with dates. So far, all of the dates have been wrong.
