You can expect the average JW to deny this, then make excuses when they see it in print.
"We don't do that anymore, and that is what's important."
(I can already hear it on their lips.)
i was just listening to a tape by jay hess ( former wt writer ) on sixscreensofthewatchtower.
in the beginning of the tape he talks about how he was disfellowshipped for worshiping jesus.
he goes on to talk about heb 1:6 from earlier translations and the footnote from the reference bible and the use of the word worship.

Jesus said something about taking a matter to your brother, and him alone, first...
help me out with a little market research on a portrait photography business i'm considering getting involved in.
i'd love to get your feedback (especially if you are a parent who has purchased portraits of your 1-6 y/o child) on the following photoshoot: http://steveshow.exposuremanager.com/g/maura (ignore the first few photos with the mom; that's really just reference).
feel free to speak freely, the child is not mine or a relative, and i only shot about half the photos and another photographer shot the rest.
Zoom out and add some props/colors.
i've seen a good number , not as many as some, or maybe a few more than others.
here's my list i've seen live !
ottmar leibert - new age / flamenco guitarist - very good show , good percussion and spanish style guitar ( 1993 ) .
Dwight Yoakam, The Innocence Mission, Radiohead, Supergrass and KC & The Sunshine Band are among the most enjoyable live shows I've seen.
it's horrible to see so many innocent people brutalized by terrorists.. new york's trains are the subject of possible terrorism, according to well placed sources.. when will it ever end?.
No.
i don't know how, but they found me.
not the feds, and not the irs.
the local elders found me.. i was on my way to meet some people after work when my cell phone rings.
Keyser,
I'm sorry to hear that.

does anyone here who disassociated regret it?
do you wish you had just faded instead?
did disassociating give you a liberating feeling of power over your life?
No regrets here.
help me respond in a way that's not confrontational.
i'd like some sound resonable answers to this email, thanks.
he's a good freind and i know he means well.. .
The end is very near, so use your time wisely.
I would focus on this statement.
They have been saying that exact same thing for more than 100 years.
Ask your friend how many dead JWs thought the end was "near".
it's a beautiful cloudy day in the high '50's (nice and cold for us in cali) with a chance of rain.
i'm cooking and listening to opera, two of my favorite things.
anyone else starting to do the food prep for tg??.
Come on, Beks, everything is better with bacon!
Mostly honest, decent, Bible-loving people. They have been misled. I have the greatest sympathy for them.
