i would like to know how the study starts...... what kind of information is given to the potential new convert when he / she starts studying with j.w.
's., lesson to lesson.. what is taught in the first few "lessons".. when the brainwashing starts to be taught.
how many lessons it takes to convince the student that the w.t.
I remember during the early/first study sessions emphasis was placed on opposition that I would face because "you are learning the truth". This coupled with stressing their version of bible prophecy made it seem to fall into place and, I thought, they could be correct. The rest is history I wish the Internet existed then. Knowledge and the ability to use it is the most powerful tool it resisting a cults subtle persuations.

If the WT/GB had the power and influence like that of the Pope and Catholic Church the world would be a very dangerous place. Can you picture a more organized religious state than the Taliban, that?s what the WT world control would be like? Their paradise is imagined on the deaths of BILLIONS of lives while they cheer over it. I don't see the Pope or Catholics doing that and I'm not a Pope supporter either.

well, it has been almost three years since i silently and dramatically vanished from the world of the watchtower.
moving an hour away from my congregation's territory and not answering phone calls was all i needed to avoid having to wear the letter "a" on my chest.
but, that could all change this saturday.
An ex-JW friend of mine recently informed me a very prominant pioneer-Super Dub daughter of an elder gave him a BJ after field service in their car one day (or night, hopefull night!).
Now that is the kind of "service" that would have kept me in.

an elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.

If they go on the offensive it bolsters their sense of importance and self-righteousness.My opinion is, an elder on the hunt for this reason is a worthless piece of s#%t and so is the rest of the WT.

i've noticed that they have been "flocking" to the org.
over the past few years especially.
One individual that was looney long before he became a JW was about 45yo and would jerk off in the KH. He would start to grunt at his seat that many thought was odd but could have been mistaken for a cough. Once in the rest room he would let loose (or should I say grab hold?) and saw one off before anyone else would go in. He was big, hairy, and ugly and would kick chairs and claim demons were sitting next to him.
He paid an unexpected visit to my house once and being cold in the house, just arriving home, I would not turn up the heat so he would leave. Unannounced he stood up and went into my bathroom and jerked off. I suspected something was weird so I scrubbed the entire room after he left.
How do I have the privilege of knowing all this? When I was appointed elder another elder told me he confessed to this before he snuffed himself. By By now.
I wish they had warned me so I could have better protected my family, but we know the deal "must protect the appearance of it all" S*%t heads.

a lady caller (catholic) today who married a df'd jw.
she called dr. laura because the grandparents put their beliefs in the little 3 year old's head...not going to heaven because she isn't a jw, etc.
dr. laura, in true fashion, said that the lady who called was irresponsible because she 1) should not leave a young child alone, unsupervised, with people who are filling her head full of "stuff" that they don't agree with; and 2) because they are hostile to her husband, the df'd jw.. she blasted the lady who called about leaving her kid with these grandparents.
Dr. Laura has changed over the years she was once very sexual and liked to show it.

we have 3 children, and i am from a broken home, so i can't imagine divorcing.

She will long for the day you both can be in marital bliss in the new system. She will wish you were a good strong spiritual family head like the elders she will be seeing and looking up to more then you. Always hoping you will join her, however not yet being fully aware she is an outcast because she is attending meetings without you and her children.
As to "keeping her from leaving you" you can't. She may never leave you but if any resistance to the WT cause is perceived by her or the elders from you it will give them full conscience to degrade you to her and your children. This may be of varying degrees at different times but it will happen.
Live as you like, to walk as if on eggs every day so as to acquiesce to a cult is not a good way to live.
