i remember hearing about it and about the dj becoming too popular so he was axed.
The Watchtower does not operate at a loss. They pay for those mags on the backs of the rank & file by charging them at the conventions for administrative fees/dues/etc. I think someone on here mentioned that it was a line item now on the charge sheet for use at the snooze fests.

the gilead letter was read last night at the meeting, i had to listen in as they have reinstated my phone line, whatever.. so anywho the service overseer gave the part and he said that jehovah's organization is moving so fast that even what they have printed just a few months ago is now old and they just received a letter from the fs that was to be read tonight from the fs!.
the way he read it, he made it very exciting and like jehovah's chosen religion is moving so fast that it can hardly keep up and the letter was just proof.
the way this elder read the letter it made it sound like the married couples school is going to be so wonderful that it would suppress gilead in wonderfulness.. the elder doing the part then went on and on about how our educational programs are so much, much better than anything out in satan's world.
Perhaps the WTBTS should train them to Occupy People homes until they convert to JW's.

with the discontinuation of the gilead school and the quote from wtbts saying that they are much less industrial now and more administrative, wouldn't it make since to sell this property as well?.

These classes could be handled in the new location or at Wallkill with much less cost.

ok. the good news is that my wife has eased up on the whole "talking it out with the elders" thing.
she now insists that she is doing her"own independent research with unbiased materials" on some subjects.

Tell him you will go to dinner with him at a fancy restaurant. Then send in a "working girl" to sit with him and take some pictures.

as time rolls on the boomer generation is increasing at a rapid rate.

In our area a lot of out-of-area dubs come here to hide from the spouse and they of course are encouraged to sign-up for anything and everything.
There are no jobs here, so they are entirely reliant upon others to fill their needs.
Many of the dubs talk amoungst themselves about their "wink" health problems.
We had one that moved in and tried faking a back injury. She put on the full front, cane and all.
The insurance company sent out a tail to take some pictures etc. They caught her doing some pretty heavy lifting for someone with a claim of complete disability.
Needless to say she magically recovered and even joked about not getting any benefits around others. (The audience was friendly)
It is a real problem with an uneducated, non-trade oriented membership as the WTBTS has.
