  A question for all ex jws AND JW's here, btw I'm new too

  so far quite dissappointed from what i've seen.

  this is very very important, first i"ll address the non/ex jw then i'll address the jw's (jw's scroll down if don't wanna see the first part).

  i see so many who have concluded that it was not 'god inspired', a lot of what is being done, and their conscience told them that many things conflicted with jesus teachings and the bible.

  I still have not been able to figure out if you're still an active JW or not!!!???? (if you are - you should not be on this site at all, remember Jehovah will judge you!)

  It makes me very sad that you judge us and do not respect us for the persons and the faith we have now. As if WE were bad and uneducated people??

  I agree with Loubelle that all of us are much more happy since leaving the cult. We are free and deserve respect for what we've had to go thru
  leaving this cult.

  Be careful with your words please and I think you owe us all an apology.

  don't let that get to you dear...they don't deserve it...YOU KNOW they're wrong and that's also why it bothers us and we know it would be no use to ever reason with them...

  you'll probably never have to see or speak to them again

  let them be ignorant and have their share of "fun" (they are the ones who are in a stupid cult)

  is this the correct way to assess your partner?

  according to a ex boyfreind ( jw) the way to look at someone your dating is to look out for all their flaws and then ask yourself " could i live with those flaws all my life?".

  i personaly think this is rather stupid, it totaly rules out love covering a multitude of sins, and dos not take in to acouunt the fact that you may have loads of flaws yourself.

  i personly think that if everyone assessed their partner like this noone would ever have anything more than a one night stand...??

  Hi partygirl!!

  Well, at some point you'd have to consider the "flaws" and reflect if you can put up with them or not in the longer turn (I wish I had been more careful abt that before getting married, but I was just "up in the blue" and ignored his "flaws")

  I also think that if you spend a lot of time together in various situations your gut-feeling will tell you (that's how it's been for me while dating)

  however, I don't think you should focus on the "flaws" and like you say no one is perfect, it's just a matter of what flaws you can live with or not...

  Couldnt you keep him as a friend and see what grows

  carpediem, I could...but I'm careful with my heart, since I'd easily get strong feelings for him and then it's hard to "just" be friends...

  What exactly is the something serious?

  Mornin fokyc!

  I wonder the same thing, coz how can you know if you want a serious relationship or not this early on, you'd have to spend more time together (which I also told him)...beats me...he's probably confused...?

  We had a great time, (as at our first date). This is a good guy! We cooked dinner together, saw a movie and it was really cozy. However, he's not ready or rather scared of something serious...we talked about it and he's also really afraid of hurting me and he says he doesn't understand why he feels like this since he thinks I'm a great woman and he's not seeing somebody else! Well, he thinks it can be because he's burned after his last relationship which ended like 2y ago.

  So I'm not sure if this will lead anywhere...I don't want to spend time etc on him if he's not ready and doesn't know what he wants (been there done that already). So for now I'll leave him be and give him time alone to reflect on his feelings and what he wants. The guy is 32 for gods sake and he really don't like to be single anymore!?!?

  Why is it never simple???!!!
  Let's see if he misses me and wants to give it a try later on...however in the mean time I've other guys and friends to have fun with

  I feel stronger now though!

  I had a REALLY big first in my life today!!!.....

  been kinda bummed for a few...and a newer nondub friend said i should go to church with him and his wife today...he called me last night about it....so it was not far and i knew nothing about it...but my friend and i are a lot alike....so showed up...it rocked!!

  !...everybody had jeans on including the preacher with his shirt untucked...he was lively and funny and real....there were some skits that screamed district convention to me but they were way funnier and better acted....and even though i totally tuned out to most of the sermon part and all the jesus stuff.........the band freakin rocked!...the music was incredible!....just great talent....i told my buddy we should go tell the preacher that not only did he get a newbie in the door...but that it was someone who had never been to church in his entire life!!!.

  i went just for social reasons........and there are prob great babe opportunities there....lol.....but it was a good morning and we went to lunch.....it was a great day!!
