i can't just give up believing in god,but its understandable when god was taking from you,i hope you find peace gods not in a building!
and he does forgive you when you go to your private place sometimes you can't right a wrong,as long as you add the one you wronged and mean it,we pay all sins through death, christ did that for us!
no i'm not planting seeds!
I'm in!

i have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!
Your ex is sick...BB. That comment in itself would make me fear for my life and my child's if I were you!
Wouldn't that be considered a "sin" though? Or would it be alright if you were "repentant"...or better yet alright because you did it to "save" people from dying at Armageddon?
SICK SICK SICK!!!
my oldest daughter (who is currently up in ct) just called to tell me my stepmother (wicked witch of the west) was in an accident yesterday evening.
she was riding a moped and crashed it into a parked car (don't ask me what an overweight 53 year old woman with bad knees is doing on a moped but whatever...supposed to save on the cost of gas or something).
anyway...she shattered her right leg and wrist in the accident (her good walking side) and apparently will never be the same.
LOL Aude, yeah, the stuffed Devil would go over REALLY well.
Since I'm too far away I can't make them meals or anything (but I would if I were close). Maybe some gift certificates to a couple of restaurants in their area so my Dad can go get take-out instead of having too cook would be a good idea.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll keep you all updated on what I do / what happens with her.
this just really shook me up.
i would love to see tons of comments about how this little girl very well may be df'd someday.
pay attention at the 53rd second,.
I keep watching the video and all I can think is "child molester". Now obviously I don't know anything about the man and most likely he's NOT one...but he SOUNDS like one. I think it's due to the fact that child molesters have that tone with small children (I should know, I lived with one for 3 1/2 years)...it's their way of brainwashing the young mind to trust them while incorporating their filthy actions slowly until they can get away with it and not have the child rat them out or even realize what they're doing is wrong. He may not be a brainwashing child molester, but he's a brainwashing JW parent and I guess it ends up sounding the same.
i am not fully in tune with how the wts defines headship and applies it to the members.
.
how does it apply to an unbelieving mate when the ubm is the husband and the female is the jw?.
Something that I've always found interesting about the "headship" thing and how far JWs take it.
In their Bible we read THIS:
Genesis 3:16 - To the woman he said: “I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in birth pangs you will bring forth children, and your craving will be for your husband, and he will dominate you.”
So this "man dominating women" is a bad thing...a result of the original sin...and yet it's an encouraged practice? Eve ate some fruit thousands of years ago so now I have to shut up and let my husband make all the important decisions while I put a smile on my face and be happy about it?
Yeah, no thanks.

Duly noted on the picture...I took it down.
John Doe...I wasn't making fun of the idea of riding a moped...my Dad rides one too and I say "all the more power to him"! But in her physical condition I feel this accident was just WAITING to happen. My daughter told me a few weeks ago they were using mopeds and I immediately thought my stepmother would end up getting hurt. Lo and behold, that's exactly what happened.
I'm tempted to use it as an excuse with my husband to spend the extra money and go up there so I can see my daughter. Of course I'll visit my stepmother, too, if I do. I actually kind of feel more bad for my father...who will be taking care of her, working two large paper routes (hers and his...not the ride-your-bike size route...the driving kind), plus working his "day job" at Frito-Lay. He's not getting any younger and has already been stretching himself way too thin...this is likely to put him in his grave.
The way my daughter was talking about everything it seemed like her AND my Dad want me up there...with as bad as my stepmother has convinced my father I am this seems like an opportunity to prove her wrong (if not in her eyes, maybe in his). I'll have to think about it some more...money is uber tight right now.

ANYWAY...she shattered her right leg and wrist in the accident (her GOOD walking side) and apparently will never be the same. I anticipate she will be unable to walk without major assistance (she had a hard time walking before the accident), especially if she doesn't drop some of her weight.
This woman has been completely evil to me for most of my life...BUT she did some good things too. She avoids talking to me (lets my Dad or daughter call me back when I call, instead) and now my daughter is telling me she's going to give me her phone number when they get her settled in at another hospital (the one she's in now doesn't have the specialists needed for her kind of injury). Do I call? Do I send flowers and a get-well card? Do I go broke and travel up there to see her? Just because she's treated me like crap doesn't mean I want to reciprocate..."kill them with kindness" has always been my motto.
Thoughts?
i know there's been some talk of paranormal...but i wanted to be more specific with my post.
i am going to admit to something i have only recently come to realize about my time being raised as a jw.
blame it on selective memory (or lack of much memory at all).
Well if it was then I had a very good imagination...as I can tell you what the KH I went to looks like from the ceiling. Also, we would sit toward the back and I could tell you what was going on at the front of the hall...out of my physical sight if I hadn't left my body.
I also watched myself being raped from the third person perspective by my pedophile foster father using this method...so if it was "childhood imagination" I'm glad I had such a good one because it spared me the added horror of being in my own body for the abuse!
this just really shook me up.

Three things disturbed me about the video...
1. The dad's voice and way he talks to this little girl creeps me out. I don't know why, it just sent shivers up my spine in a bad way.
2. So sad that this sweet little girl already knows the word "disfellowship" and that it means she can't talk to her uncle. Brainwashing at it's finest...brings back lots of memories for me!
3. The end was interesting...a little hard to understand her but sounded something like "uncle < something > monkey see, monkey do < something > sister(?) Monkey get in trouble too!" Yes, I can see this one being DFed someday...and then she will know what DFing REALLY means. We'll probably have her on here, all EFFED UP. It's sickening.

i wonder if this got her a trip to the "back room" with the elders...or if her monetary donations allow her to be a little more free with her speech than the average jw.
notice how venus refused to comment at all!.
