just been reading nicholas guyatt book on why 50 million americans believe the apocalypse will take place in their lifetime.. a lot of the book is about tim lahaye's books on the end of the world - the left behind series.

interesting paragragh states the following .

Babylon hasn't fallen......Apparenly once 'false religion' does 'fall' there might be a comet or some 'celestial' occurance...

Doesn't it seem that Babylon is more than just false religions? According to the scripture (below), it implies to me that Babylon is religion, politics, and commerce. All of these things have come from Babylon---weights and measures, coinage, all originated there and have to do with commerce. The idea of cities and governance came from Caaninites. And we all know about the deceptions and lies of all religions. It is just another way to exercise control over the masses.

According to this scripture, and please tell me if I am wrong, but it seems to say to me that Babylon is still deeply ingrained in ALL of our "systems" and way of life today. Also, to me this scripture implies that it will not "fall" until the very end when Jesus comes.

Rev:19:19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth. Their armies were gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who did the miracles for the beast. The false prophet had used these miracles to trick those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his idol. The false prophet and the beast were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21 And their armies were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds ate the bodies until they were full.

Doesn't this mean that before babylon can fall, or be destroyed, that we would have to know who the beast and false prophet are and it would be very obvious?

I am wondering if this could be true or if anyone finds this believable or not. I appreciate those who can take time to read the article and comment. Many photos, and documentation from sources which seem to be reputable. Here is a very short synopsis of the idea.

The water in underground aquifers has been heavily pumped by irrigation farmers which has lowered the water levels by 100 feet, and as a result created a partial vacuum in the aquifers. The aquifers lie beneath the H-P Natural Gas Reserve. The vacuum from the removed water consequently sucks all the "replacement" water the energy companies have been pumping into America's natural gas reserve for the purpose of extracting gas, downward, to fill the void in the aquifer. As a result, a partial vacuum is then created in our natural gas reserves, which in turn draws air (oxygen) into the reserves from the surface of the earth, mostly through vent pipes created in the drilling process, effectively converting our gas reserves into an extremely volatile bomb made of natural gas and oxygen.

the law of gravity has been constantly pulling the replacement water they had previously filled that part of the gas chamber with into our water acquifers, which are located well below the gas chambers, leaving the partial vacuum that remains loaded with lower levels of natural gas.

With nothing else to fill the void created by the reduced water level in the reserves, the resulting vacuum sucks air (oxygen) into these huge chambers from the surface of the earth; mostly through vent pipes left from the original drilling operation

Once the oxygen to gas ratio reaches fourteen percent, the "mix" in this part of the reserve becomes volatile, and subject to exploding if and when it is ever ignited. A mix of twenty one percent oxygen to gas ratio causes that particular gas chamber to become a genuine fully loaded bomb, just waiting to be ignited.

At a point just thirty miles north of Pantex, where America stores its larger nuclear weapons, the H-P Reserve is less than fifty feet below the surface of the earth; and subject to being breached by just anything falling from the sky, such as an airplane, a meteorite, or a bomb.

If that should ever take place, the entire North American Continent would be subject to a series of explosions and fires, until it literally ceases to exist, because the entire N. American Continent is literally perched on top of the H-P Reserve. So, after the explosions, those parts that are made of heavily oil laden shale rock would simply burn until there is nothing left. Which means the dirt itself would burn.

"the reason for the collapse of world trade centre seven is no longer a mystery," said dr shyam sunder, the lead investigator on the team.. investigators also concluded that the collapse of the nearby towers broke the city water main, leaving the sprinkler system in the bottom half of the building without water.. the building has been the subject of a wide range of conspiracy theories for the last seven years, partly because the collapse occurred about seven hours after the twin towers came down.

Based on records of buildings with Otis brand elevators, as many as 85 percent of the high rises in the world don't have a 13th floor, says Dilip Rangnekar, spokesman for the Farmington, CT-based elevator maker.

"It's such a rarity to find a 13th floor in a building it sort of sticks out," says Rangnekar.

To be accurate, if a building is tall enough to have a 13th floor, it does indeed have a 13th floor. Developers and architects make it "disappear" by designating it as the 14th floor. That means the real 14th floor becomes the 15th floor, the 15th floor becomes the 16th floor, and so on.

Developers say making the 13th floor vanish is bottom line motivated, but superstitious fear is the real culprit.

The view of the 13th floor was cast in a different light during America's worst disaster.

Both towers of the World Trade Center had occupied 13th floors and, ironically, after hijacked planes slammed into the twin towers just over a year ago, media accounts of harrowing escapes told of many rescues from the 13th floor of both the North (1 World Trade Center) and South (2 World Trade Center) towers.

For those survivors, luck began on the 13th floor.
