  ...Weird Ass Lights in the Sky...

  good evening jwn!!...

  as most of you know i live in a forest,in the mountains..at night there is very little light pollution... so the sky is one big theatre screen... i see shooting stars,northern lights,satellites,planes on a destination..it`s all very beautiful... tonight was different... .

  tonight there was something in the sky that defied anything i`ve ever seen... it had multiple aircraft lights but not like regular airplane lights..it wasn`t a helicopter... it could go straight up or down... move in one direction then head in another..it could do all kinds of weird stuff... sometimes it just hovered..then start doing all these weird maneuvers... regular aircraft is going somewhere,it`s headed in a direction..not this thing... i watched a regular airplane pass it... .

  What happened to the questions in the Watchtower and why?

  could someone please advise why the questions for public study on a sunday are no longer in the watchtower?.

  also a while ago now the gatherings in private homes during the week for study also stopped.. i was told that it was in preparation of armageddon so that individuals could become more independant and have more time to establish their relationship directly with jehovah.

  this was because the gb felt people were relying on the organization too much in providing their spiritual needs and with armageddon it may be that jws will not be able to access the support network that they currently have.

  Listener: Could someone please advise why the questions for public study on a Sunday are no longer in the Watchtower?

  Evidently, the WT feels that they have already answered all the questions anyone could possibly have. Oh, and by the way, from what I gather, you are only allowed to ask questions BEFORE you are baptised. After baptism, questions are frowned upon.

  The Pope's astronomer says they are here and they are already talking about getting the ET's baptised. I just started a thread on this a couple of days ago.

  Why does the government say there are no aliens?

  Outlaw, you do know there is a law forbiding alien contact with US citizens, don't you?

  It's on the books. Comes under NASA stuff.

  But then, you aren't a US citizen, are you?

  Maybe they are surveying you. Let us know if you meet ET. I would try the candlepower signal and see if they take you up on it.

  Leader of First Christian Movement after Death of Jesus

  supposedly the first "christian" movement was started by james the just, brother of jesus (though some historians believe this james to be a cousin and not his brother).

  what i find intriging is this verse from the gospel of thomas in reference to james:.

  "the disciples said to jesus, "we are aware that you will depart from us.

  Heaven and earth exist because of James the Just?

  "have come to exist" implies that these concepts were not in existence before James the Just.

  What do you all make of this phrase?

  anyone who deeply believes in a "free press" is very naive in my opinion.

  for example, consider how stories about scandal suddenly appear out of nowhere after candidates actually start running.

  i am also aware of how surprizing revelations appear in european newspapers about figures in the us - while little or nothing is reported in the american press.

  PrimateDave: The visible governments are not really in control. There is a power elite, "a kleptocracy," that maintains a stranglehold on energy and technology to keep the world population under their control.

  Historical ancedotes also reveal this. Greer is sayiong nothing new here.

  Have you read Handbook for a New Paradigm? It is a free ebook. It describes what the whole disclosure scenerio will be about. Supposedly the aliens will have this to say "did you really expect us to transport all of you out of here? what with all of your problems of divisions between you all? We do not have enough spaceships for all of you and besides, you all need to work out your global problems. Otherwise the evil here will contaminate the rest of the galaxy. That is why you are isolated here.

  According to this book, these aliens will also reveal that the human race was a "mistake" genetically, and our creators dumped us off at the edge of this universe thinking we would gradually die out or kill each other off.

  why has it been passed down to us that the word 'armageddon' refers to meggido?

  who came up with that and stamped and approved it as a translation?

  i am not sure if jws buy into that same interpretation...so maybe you all can fill me in.. .

  Don't you remember the story about the little girl that everytime she told a lie frogs fell out of her mouth?

  This is symbolic. The beast is promising things....but these promises turn out to be deceptive lies through the use of artful wording and double meanings of words and twisted phrases. Sometimes a concept is put forth and after it has served it's purpose to cause people to "assume", the concept may be later changed without notice.

  Let me give you an example. In the social security act of 1935 the term "social insurance" is used. Do you really think it's an insurance plan? Better dig a little deeper.

  why is this needed?

  everyone has an arrangement for personal shepherding except district overseers and their wives.

  Any ideas on how they conjure them? Automatic writing, ouija, mediums? How does one become qualified to be a WT medium?

  LV101: this is just another angle for the DO/CO & co. to be watched/spied upon for the borg. a bethelite told me yrs. ago that everything is checked and watched at the corporation's operations in ny. he'd lock a window or do a task and at least 5 more goons would follow behind him to check his work --- on and on.

  So if this isn't part of downsizing busywork via finding a nicer way to boot out the bethelites....then maybe this shows the bOrg is getting nervous about the drop-outs and the murmurers inside. Ya think?

  in the nwt we read at matt 24:36: "concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the son, but only the father.".

  if witnesses are correct that the day could be calculated by ezekiel's prophecy, based on the destruction of jerusalem and the rebuilding of the temple, then they are, in effect saying that, although jesus was aware of the historical account of the destruction of jerusalem, and was alive with the father in heaven when the prophecy was made, and was alive with the father in heaven when jerusalem was destroyed......get this.......he didn't know there was going to be an antetypical (or antitypical i can't remember how to spell it or what it really means) fulfillment 2000 years in the future!!!!

  but....then here comes jf rutherford to the rescue.
