Can you imagine if this set a precedence? Of course it is only a summons and the Pope can choose to ignore it. But what would happen if....oh, I don't know....maybe he started getting a couple of hundred summons a day from individuals?
And what if...oh, I don't know....what if it caught on and started happening in the JW congregations, too?

eshu also goes by the popular name of legba.
he is sometimes called "pappa legba" and is considered as the gatekeeper of the crossroads.
Legba ESHU also has his own "Saint" card.
When missionaries went into primitive nations, they found that the only way to "convert" the natives was to compromise by allowing them to have their own deities. The church had pictorials of their cannonized saints and often allowed the natives to "rename" the saints according to their loa. In some religions, the image above represents Lazerus; but in the voodoo religion this is Papa Legba aka ESHU.
i was stunned when i read that according to jws jesus is not the mediator to all those baptized and this is not available to all mankind although the benefit of his position as mediator is.
they believe that only the annointed with the heavenly hope have jesus as their mediator.. i cannot understand why they tell all jws that they must pray through jesus christ.
if he is not the 'great crowds' mediator then wouldn't it be wrong the pray through jesus?
Didn't Jesus teach people how to pray by praying directly to "the father" himself?
Didn't Jesus show people the proper way to pray by the example of the "Lord's prayer"?
Did Jesus say that he was the only one allowed to make this direct contact?
Or did he say that others should follow his example?
Praying "through" someone else seems to be a Catholic invention. I know catholics who pray through their dead ancestors who were real skunks when they were alive. The whole "praying through" someone else comes from very ancient tribal ritual of sacrifice. When crops were bad or there was great troubles, the tribe chose a human sacrifice. This person felt honored to be chosen as a messenger to the gods. It was believed that the only way to get God's attention on these matters was to send an ambassador to tell him about the problems of the tribe. That was the mission of the human sacrifice.
i've been doing a little research and can't quite understand the jw doctrine on resurrection.. firstly there are the annointed, in the new convenant and hence those only faithfull after jesus time on earth.
so it is all those from jesus' time to the time the jws decided there was a great crowd, around about 1935 and a handful since then.
then there is the others that died before jesus time and the great crowd that die before the end of armageddon starting around about 1935 onwards... is this correct?
Those "going to heaven" will be those who choose to ascend into the light. They will loose their physical bodies as they become the immortal spirit creatures that we are.
The evil ones will be removed from this planet. Revelation describes to you that there will still be a certain type of segregation among the peoples who are here. There will be an "inner court" of like minded peaceable people. Those who still have not advanced past their more beastly natures, who are not really evil, just not as advanced, will be outside of the community of the more spiritually advanced until such time as they develop to a certain point where they do not cause disruption.
The resurrection, is that the dead "rise" first. Well, of course they do. Their spirits do not turn to dust. Their spirits are already elsewhere.

When the King's messengers arrived into a town square, the first thing they did was to blow the trumpets to get people's attention. Then, after the trumpet blast and people had gathered, the SEAL was broken. Then the SCROLL was unraveled and read. Then the DECREE (bowls/vials) became effectively the blessing or curse that was dumped upon their heads.
It stands to reason that all seven trumpets are not blown at the same time, but it has been a gradual progression.
A trumpet (a loud or far reaching event takes place), a seal is broken (something is revealed), an action takes place.
The last three trumpets are distinguised by the "woes".
Maybe "Feast of Trumpets" holds a clue.

Amputees? Tissue regeneration. The technology is evolving. The "miracle" is that we were built to survive and were given a brain to reason, observe nature, explore the creation, and have the joy of learning how to overcome these obstacles.
Just because some doctors believe in "miracles" does not mean that people are suddenly zapped by paranormal forces and "cured'. The body's healing powers and the minds determination usually play a big part in most "miracles".

what if the elders tracked you down and show up at your house to inform you of wrong doing and the action they will take.. what if the elders destroyed your family and now they stand before you smiling with the bible in their hand.. i know my reaction.... it would not be pretty... the police would be at my house very shortly.. do they really believe jah would protect them from those they wronged?
i am not a violent man..... but this is like rubbing your nose in the very pain they caused.. i say this because..... i sense something is in the mix.. my lawyer gave some info because of a legal matter and if i know these bastards.......... they better think twice....

For the benefit of any as yet unaware of Rev. Kevin Annett, he is, or rather was a United Church Minister from Vancouver, Canada but was thrown out of his church in the mid 1990s for allowing native Indians to join the services and extending them pastoral care.
Since then he has been leading a crusade to expose the genocide of the Indian population of Canada and in particular the ‘disappearance’/death of some 50,000 native children in residential schools and hospitals funded by the Canadian government but run by the United, Anglican and Catholic Churches.
From late 19th century onwards native children were snatched from their families and communities to be ‘educated’ in these horrendous institutions where they suffered all manner of abuse including rape, Nazi-style brain and germ-warfare experiments and continual mental and physical torture. Although some survived against all odds many did not. Mass graves have come to light in 28 locations.
The Catholic Church has been fully complicit in both these hideous atrocities and in the cover-up that has gone on ever since. 80% of the Indian residential schools were run by the Catholic church. As well as being thrown out of his church Kevin has suffered all kinds of other persecutions including threats on his life.
