Red Moon: True Prophesy or Superstition?

there are several scriptures that say the moon will turn blood red and the sun will be darkened before armageddon takes place.. i have seen many red moons.

they were astoundingly beautiful, but the nag of superstitious words can prevent one from enjoying the beauty of this phenomenon.. we know today that the "red moon" is caused by dust particles in the atmosphere.

these particles can also cause a "blue moon",too.. in the past, red moons have been caused by lunar eclipse as well as volcanic ash in the atmosphere.. in the "ancient days" i suppose certain civilizations saw this phenomenon as a "bad omen" because they had no explanation for it.

Wouldn't the red moon associated with "bad omen" be a form of astromancy? And if so, wouldn't that be a divination which is supposed to be prohibited (according to scripture)? Wouldn't this be a conflict of principle to look to these "signs" as something prophectic of an event to occur?

Since "jehovah" seems to have had quite a few "dark and terrible days" and has destroyed many civilizations over a long history.... could it be that "ominous signs" are another part of mind control....a trigger to cause fear?

Why does "jesus" open the pit of demons?

i know jws teach that jesus has mpd and is also angel micheal.

i don't know why they think this.. but anyway...my question is....why would jesus open the pit of demons and sic them on everybody?.

are these demons "annointed" to do the slaughtering at armageddon?.

Extent of Judicial Comms power ?

my question is,because i have always thought that the extent of their power was in a geographic sense, their "parish" or territory, i imagined that if i moved congo.

"officially ",i.e said i am going to such and such a hall, and then never showed up,would either congo.

have any power over me,even if i had not moved home from the original congo's territory ?.

This makes me think of the scripture in Rev. about people hiding in caves and asking the rocks to fall and hide them.

It's terrible to be so scared of these people. Fear is what gives them their power.

There are internet rumors now that US has shipped out Ameros to China bank.

Also rumors that our paper money will soon be exchanged for ameros at 20-50 cents on the dollar.

Expecting Armageddon - Dissonance in Action

i am reading "expecting armageddon: essential readings in failed prophecy" edited by jon r. stone.

i am just on the introduction, but already i see there is plenty of evidence that festinger's thesis is correct (at least in broad sweeps).

when faced with an embarrassing contradiction in their beliefs, people go to extreme, sometimes very illogical measures, to reduce thier discomfort.. here's an example from the book about another cult, bupc:.

Baha'u'llah is the founder of the Baha'i Faith. He fulfills prophecy as the Second Coming of Christ (Mark 8:38). Just as Jesus the Christ did not come fulfilling the peoples expectation, neither does the Second Christ, Baha'u'llah, appear as the people might imagine.

And all these religions, with all their different beliefs, claim to be the only truth and have divine rights to god.

I am so ready for the world to be over this, get past it, and lets get on to productive things. All these religions don't seem to change anyone as far as their actions. It just all seems to cause more diversity and debates.

Is "end-times" a death of the planet...life not being able to return from brink of extention and too many contaminants in soil and air?

or is end times the death of religion, political, and financial systems only?

Does red moon have anything to do with human sacrifice? Could it indicate war, or holocaust?

Is it really prohpecy or superstition?

My Experience Impersonating a JW

a few days ago when i went to the mailbox a truck pulled up, a man jumped out and boldly anchored a political sign at the edge of my driveway.. he was about 8 feet away from me.

i turned and said "i don't want your sign on my driveway!

" it had really ticked me off that he stuck it in the ground in front of me without asking and like he had a right to do so.. he walked over to me and said.."do you know (candidates name)?
