  If You believe that Jesus is God....

  i know that everyone here is an individual with their own thoughts and beliefs,and i'm not starting this thread to debate whether or not jesus is god or not...but i am kinda curious about this.

  thank you in advance for taking the time to consider this with/for me.. jesus christ instructed people on how to pray.

  with the opening line of the lord's prayer he said (something to this effect) "our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name" (hope i got that right).

  So there is in your opinion, and I presume the Bible's perhaps, that there is/was a God Higher than Jehovah? El-Elyon? I'm really slow getting on my feet here, but they merged? Is there anything in the bible to support this? Myth or not, if they merged together and had all the other gods; that in essence turned them into angels, why didn' t they form a union? <------i think i read this somewhere else...

  OK. (whew) So the original angels that came down, they are locked in Tartarus. An angel is a spirit, right? These particular Angels are immortal. Their offspring, the Nephilim, after they died (drowned) in the flood , their spirit (soul?demon?) stayed here on earth. Since they were in human bodies before as you mentioned, they have fleshly desires and therefore desire to live in different bodies. Your right, the Jewish version is easier to understand, but i like it all. Thank you. once again thank you and if you wouldnt mind explaining to me what I am wrong about, or point me where i can come to better understand?

  Do you think the Spirits in "Leigion" are Nephilim leftovers?Just asking as you point out the irony of their drowning. Mark 5:5 indicates this man was in rough shape. He cut himself with stones all cried out all the time. Why ever did he beg Jesus to not send them out? Even the demons wanted out according to vs 12, THEY even begged Jesus. Leigion says "lets keep em in",demons (souls?) say "ok,we want out." (perhaps cause it was gods decision to put them there?Hence they needed permission to get out?)

  The demons wanted to go into the unclean animal. Was "Legion" unclean BEFORE the demons were in him?

  All this water talk is opposite of hellfire , any connection there?

  looks like we have some changes that will probably come about in the next few years.. has anyone heard hints dropped about melchizedek in the wt materials lately?.

  i would imagine they will begin with subtle references in preparation.

  you know they use tip-toe methods and not any great big announcements.. .

  Cameo d...this kind of talk is fascinating to me. I also checked the link you provided with that. Very deep (to me) indeed.

  Drugs or no drugs, its pretty interesting thinking. What do you personally think about this "kind" of school? Think the things they teach are factual?

  I have no where near the experience you have with your many insights and wonderings,but off the top of my head,if the society WERE to adopt a teaching anywhere this; how would they get around "the light"? As a coming out JW, I would hazard a guess that anything remotely close to this teaching might go back to ...."Satan being the Angel of Light?" or "Bringer of the light"?

  If you don't mind, what do you think of today's modern music making many mentions of "the light"?

  so i'm sitting there tonight cuz my wife makes me go ( for now ) and i had a great idea.

  you know how some times they have those boring slide shows ?

  wouldn't it be incredible to get some glow in the dark paint and write on the walls some funny messages so that once they turn the lights out, everyone would see the messages.. i'm 10000% sure they would cancel the slide show and go right into the wt study.

  simon and mods...i am getting pms and e-mails from our newbies...even asking me to post what they want to post.

  ?....cause they have blueball from having to wait so long to register here and post.....i just think that it may be a good idea to loosen rules some to let them post at least three times a day and unlimited after that.

  isn't that what mods are for?....to catch anything that is a prob and kill it?...so if that provision is in place...then why the limit?.........these newbies are bustin at the seams........so why have these strict limits if we have mods?....now that last one is my question....i posted the rest for the newbies.........oomps.

  a more detailed look at the just released american religious identification survey (aris) shows witnesses have increased from 1,331,000 in 1991 to 1,914,000in 2008. that is 583,000 more people, or a whopping 43.8 percent growth.

  they now make up 0.8 percent of the u.s. population.. who says jws are in the decline?.

  I will take reponsibility here. I am a bit of an impatient doofuss some days. I apologise for trying to push when i should be patient. Even at the grocery store I am always looking for the shortest line...Sofa and Lady Lee - thanks for halping me out before with posts...really

  Sigh. I CANNOT BELIEVE how much The society fudges some thing. It's starting to get me more than i thought it would. Espcially the things we are led to believe as factual.

  Pllease correct me if I'm wrong. I remember reading the Bible Book of Stories back in the late 70's as a child. I ate it up. There is a chapter in there somewhere about the flood and the Nephilim. I 99.999999 % sure that it said, very matter of fact , that the "sons of god", who they factuallly identified as angels that materialized and had hybrid offspring,the Nephilim.

  I have been looking into what the bible has to say. And from the things i have read, it's not conclusive as to who the "sons of god" actually are... anyone give me any input on this?

  I dont hvae a bible in front of me, but there is a scripture i read yesterday that REALLY has me wondering. Its says that the Nephilim were on the earth in those days...and also afterwards". The way i was raised was that God brought the deluge to destry the wicked men as he had regrets. Well, if he brought the flood to lose the Nephilim, why are they still on the earth after? Stands to reason perhaps Goliath was a Neph?
