  Narcissistic mothers and JW,s

  my eldest son (40) and his jw mom (in here 60,s) can not have a. decent conversation before he storm off in anger.

  all famlies have their problems, we are no different.

  Well, I just learned something about my Mother.

  I always thought she was Narcissistic, this just nailed it. Scary. Hearing other people tell similar stories is eerie. And depressing. They prey on nuts like them. No offense to all you out there.

  My Mom has the Amnesia issue also.

  When questioned about events in our childhood she claims we are lying. Two adults can't make this shit up. Especially when the stories are exactly the same. My Mom would dress like a fashion model (she thought she should be but was too short) and made us go to the Salvation Army for clothes. She said we weren't worth good clothes. Years later she told me I could have been a model if I were skinny. And she was embarassed because I was chubby. I look back at photos and realize she is sick. Now she tells me I am too skinny. No pleasing her. She is a fat buffalo. I do dislike her. Is that OK?

  She tells me I sound angry when she talks to me. I tell her to lay off criticizing me. Everything I do is subject to her rules. If I let it. I tell her to *FUxk off* a few times a month now. I am pulling no punches. I am sick of it. She then says I need Jehovah in my life and then askes how my sex life is! WTF?!!

  I am so sorry what some of you/all of us went through. There has to be something in the dubs that attracts these nutty women. I have racked my brain and read books on this and I can't figure it out. I need to go back and get a degree in psychiatry to understand it.

  Were you given a good beating when you was a JW kid growing up in TRUTH

  my dad used to use the kettle flex on me and my 2 other brothers, and if he was a bit drunk he would just come up to our room and thump us all in our beds!!

  my mom could be heard crying alot when we were growing up in the happy jw religion.

  me dad was a lover of the rod as he got a good kicking when he was a kid from his dad!!

  JWs love corporal punishment.

  Recently my Mom and I got into a big argument about beating children. She said children just need to be beaten. (like she did to my sister and I). I said any parent now will be put into jail. You simply cannot beat or hit a child. On and on.

  She also favored a wooden spoon and pulling our hair. Our father used a belt. He would stare at us and start to remove his belt, slowly. We had to stand there and watch while we knew we were going to get beaten with the belt.

  As we got older and could out run our mom we would and realized running outside was the best way to evade capture and she wouldn't do it in front of the neighbors.

  A deep deep hurt

  when i was a couple of months old my father was put into prison in seagoville, texas.

  the watchtower took him away from me for almost 2 years and destroyed almost all hope that he and i would ever have a normal relationship.

  i say this because i believe the bond that we should have formed when i was a baby was severed forever and that's the damnable shame of it all.

  The WTS has ruined and divided so many families. Coming to this forum and letting it out is very helpful. I'm sure you'll be an outstanding father. Letting it out is always helpful. Remembering you are not alone and we all understand and are there for you is also very healing. Hugs.

  Update on Ali, my daughter

  ali is home and undergoing further treatment for congestive heart failure.

  she has a bi-ventricular pacemaker and a defibrilator (sp?

  ) they believe the heart failure was caused by a virus that damaged the heart muscle.

  I talked to my Mom yesterday and asked her what she was doing on Saturday? She sounded confused because she had just got done dissing Xmas. I had told her we were getting together with the DHs family, etc.

  "Oh, you know how people are, they all get together, eat, drink and fight. Oh, and exchange those stupid gifts."

  Umm, what day is that I asked?

  "I have no idea" She said.

  I asked if she were going out in FS Saturday.

  "Yes, of course." She said.

  I told her she better get ready for lots of angry, hung over Worldly people telling her to get lost.

  I told her Xmas was Saturday.

  "Oh!??, Well, I'll just get together with the people from the congregation and we'll hang out then." She said.

  WTF? I told her to enjoy herself. Especially since she wasn't celebrating or anything. She missed the point of the hypocrisy of them getting together on Xmas.

  I did send her a "Season's Greetings" card for the first time this year. I will wait for the fall out.

  i know some that tout their government as being blameless, wonderful, and almost perfect.

  whether you are considered a "liberal" or "conservative", it seems that some are "true believers" in their cause.. personally, i'm disillusioned with politics although i'm always interested and fascinated by ideology and personalities.. i think all governments are unrighteous.

  i think some individuals mean well but the higher in government that you are, the more soiled you become..

  Has anyone noticed that they are really pushing that Satan is after us and how much the world hates us.

  I hear this so often from my JW relatives, I want to puke.

  I got the chain e-mail about the Russian KH being torched and was told that JWs are being persecuted worldwide! I was further told that this has been going on for years--at least since WW II. I was told how my aunts were picked on for not saluting the flag (?? was this done in the early 40's ) , not celebrating B-days, etc. Odd that they would consider that "persecution" and that Satan was singling them out.

  I e-mailed back that, indeed, I understood, having gone through similar things as a young child. Oh, they responded and were seemingly horrified to have heard this for the first time. (Uh, no, they told us to stand up for Jehovah, continually when we told them as kids. Short memories.)

  I hear all the time that "This System" is almost over and Satan is behind every mishap that befalls someone. I have put the phone on mute a few times and screamed. Literally. I am told to pray to Jehovah for the strength to get through the day. WTF good had that ever done? Especially when I am shovelling my driveway. Honestly, they are nuts. Totally nuts.

  People leaving a Cult seem to need someone to tell them how to think. Especially seems so with Progressive Liberals. They want and seem to need someone, anyone, to tell them "It's allright. It's OK. We're here for you. We will take care of you. All you have to do is put your trust in US. That is the U.S. Government. We'll tell you how to eat. What sausage to cook. What toy to play with. What seat belt to wear. What vitamin levels are OK."

  See how that works? Progressively more and more Government intrusion and they just suck it up. They ask for more Big Government. Because, just like the Governing Body telling us we couldn't wear skirts or have oral sex, the U.S. Government really does know how to live our lives better than we do. Don't they?

  Just like they begged for the New System to come and wipe out humanity. All so they could pet a Lion and be perfect. In the New System.

  Change is Good.
