please can someone shed light on the claim that when the bible was originaly written it had the name jehovah in it over 7000 times but it was changed because of superstition?
how do you dispute it?
exactly where did they get that crazy version of their bible anyway?

i have been having some pretty irrational thoughts lately.. its only been 3 months since we decided it is not the "truth".
but sometimes i think we (my family) would have been better off if we had stayed inactive witnesses.
the strain affects the whole family.. sometimes it feels like my whole world has fallen apart.

i have been working on my letter to our local congregation to dis-associate myself.. since my wife is still very active in the non-truth and she also insist that i write this letter, i believe i will take her congregation address and telephone list and send my letter with all the facts about the wbts history of lies and send everyone in the congregation my letter via certified mail.

From all that I've heard, sending in a letter only serves to waste the time of the writer because the document(s) are skimmed over quickly and only to verify that the writer truly wishes to DA, then they are totally disregarded from then on. The DA'er is then stamped and booted.
Seems like a waste of time to me.

From what I remember of seeing other's posts, the 144,000 issue was danced around greatly by the society, and I think directly addressed in one or two lines in one or two publications.
I know this topic was discussed here earlier, try doing a search for 144 in the subject lines of the posts.

I am not a literature salesman. I have had to pleasure of bringing in about 50 persons into the organization.
And in doing so, you pushed how many mags? How many "donations" did you accept? How many of those went back to your KH and then to the society?
Most had terrible lives, some drunkards, some drug addicts, some had family problems. Through Bible study, they were able to apply counsel such as the sermon of the mount and others. I am proud that I was able to guide them into the teachings of our Lord, Jesus and his father.
Yes, and now some are proud new members who go around pushing mags and accepting donations, funneling back to the local KH for dispersal to the society for new literature under "mandatory donation".
Don't tell me to wake up. I'm already up and enjoy serving Jehovah.
