To Danni: ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
by You Know inq 1: where does the bible say god's name is jehovah?
in all probability, the bible that you have does not have the name jehovah in it, anywhere.
we too have a fraternity, a brotherhood, gods family is what we are, and if anyone dishonors the congregation by conduct unbecoming a minister of god, shunning, or disfellowshipping as we call it, is gods means to deal with such ones.. q 7: how can a person isolate themselves if you chose to knock on peoples doors outside your religion?

Eminem
by DIM inso whats the opinion around here - jokester or demonic psycho?
i've always appreciated some good story telling and gangsta rap to counter my usual music tastes (indie and 60's music).
pretty funny guy, that eminem is.. i'm sick and tired of hearing things from uptight-short-sighted-narrow minded hypocritics.

I found this one particularly amusing...
Would you be disfellowshipped as an apostate from the WT TODAY, if you believed and taught the Society's doctrines of 1920? (after the inspection)
YES______ NO___X___It would be kind of dumb for me to believe old light when there is new understanding that is backed by the scriptures
Actually, since 'you' would be following that 'old-light' you would indeed be disfellowshipped because you could not call yourself a modern JW. The answer to the form should have been YES.Also...
Would a JW of 1920 have been disfellowshipped if he then believed and taught present-day WT doctrines?
YES______ NO___X___Not if they were humble and waited on the FDS to make the necessary adjustments. Now if the person was stubborn and full of himself, well that's a different picture.
Notice how one who has gained 'brighter-light' is automatically assumed to be stubborn and full of themself if they make this knowledge known before the 'FDS' does. Seems like the FDS' position has a mental priority over TRUTH(TM) according to YoYoMamma. On the lighter side, it is interesting to see that if God did indeed choose a NEW 'FDS' out of the 'flock' of sheep, that YoYoMamma would be absolutely ignorant to his creator's selection. (Of course, that could be a good thing since some people who understand a scripture better than the 'FDS' automatically assume divine backing.)

YoYoMama:
You are so full of crap. AlanF has given you a means to discover the sources to which he was referring to. This silly posturing of yours does nothing for your credibility. The only backtracking I see happening is your sincerity.

space.com dates Noah's flood to 2350 B.C.
by aChristian inthe watchtower society dates noah's flood to 2370 b.c.e.
they do this by following bible chronology quite closely, counting backwards from 607 b.c.e., their date for babylon's destruction of jerusalem.
however, as we know, the society's date for that event is in error.

Most of you are falling into the trap of assuming "earth" and "world" always refer to the entire planet. When that misconception is straightened out, science and the Bible tend to meld.
Ahhh!!! So now I see how 2+2=5!!!! It's because the first two isn't actually two, it's two units of half of three, and the second two means actually two units of twice of one. There, you see? That is how two plus two indeed equals 5. As long as you have the proper "understanding".
Next week, I'll cover how yes means no, and up actually means nowhere.

You are making me laugh ianao.
Ahh! There is indeed hope for the cult-victim is he is still able to use a cherished human device known as "humor".
Actually in this case I would not. Other religions also have their own rights to practice their faith in this country.
Bravo YoYoMama! You are one step closer to seeing reality beyond your cultic upbringing. You seem closer to understanding that your mind-controlling cult is nothing more but another of this world's failing religions. This is indeed progress!!! Perhaps soon you will be in a position to help your fellow man instead of your fellow follower, and help make the world a better place. You deserve a cookie.

Are you a moron or are you just acting like one? The Witnesses use the system for their benefit. We learned from Paul.
Sadly, we must watch again as the cult mentality kicks in. Lashing back at my analysis with petty insults. Of course, I cannot answer YoYo's question. It is up to YoYo to decide whether or not he/she/it/them view me as a "moron". Another aspect of individual personality muted by cult conditioning. Note how the cult-victim continues to rationalize his contradictory stance by quoting scripture in an attempt to justify his stance, knowing full well that he would chastize a member of another christian faith for doing likewise. A truly sad neurosis, especially since YoYo's recent discovery of his very own leadership's unnecessary compromize of "good chiristian principles" for the sake of "a library card".

An Internet Apostate
by Yadirf inan internet "apostate" is a person who delights in sowing discord on the internet.
s/he tries to start arguments and upset people.. apostates see internet communications services as convenient venues for their bizarre game.
for some reason, they don't "get" that they are hurting real people.

yadirF "Peeped":
Have you nothing better to do than to try biting ankles? So you’re on the side of the apostates, you’ve made that clear in every thread you’ve ever participated in … can’t you do anything other than sit on the sidelines cheering for your team. The truth is that all you can do is serve as water boys or stand up in the stands and cheer for your team. You never really qualified to get out on the field and play ball. So, continue on with your ankle biting since that’s the limit of your qualifications.
I would perfer to sit on the the sidelines "cheering" for my team as the players play ball rather than to go out on the field and make my team look like a complete and total joke. In all honesty if insincere folks like you would just shut up and let REAL witnesses speak their mind, you may find your team playing better in the field.Oh whoops! I forgot! That would be a bad thing for you to do since most of your better players end up defecting.
BTW, "kudos" to your choice words of ankle-biting. Just more proof that you hold yourself in higher regard than anyone else around here does.
Have a nice day, holier than thou backwards Friday, appostate in the making.
