Sorry to hear this. You have to start thinking of a plan to salvage relationship, with or without her but also with the rest of the family as this will spread quick and you will be hearing from everyone rather quickly, and probably from elders in regards to your faith as well.
Hopefully things will calm down but from what you vaguely described, you have to watch your ass so she doesn't try to take you for everything you worked hard for. Damn cult will show no mercy so either make shit up to cover you "ourburst" to buy more time to figure out how to proceed. If you need to, claim depression...
TATT is dangerous when presented to a family member and whenever anyone proceeds with this sort of information they have to be willing to lose it all - that's why you either wait when the other parties are more open to reality or when you have a backup plan to leave if things totaly fall apart. Sorry, I wish I could give you better advise but you may have a real rough future if you don't calm the wife quickly and think of a plan for the future with or possibly without her. Her cult persona shows conditional love but that side of her may go away but again it may not.

Consider college!!!! Not only will this occupy you more but it will also prepare you for real life that you won't gain from wts' See what scholarships are available to you that may help you with your finances, talk to college counselor about it and about the school loans and/or grants. If you can live in a dorm, that will solve a lot of your problems. You may look at colleges in states that are more reasonable to survive on a loan with lower living costs - that will also solve the jw problem.
If that's the route you take, you will be busy in studies that may keep you away from meetings more(if you stay with your parents), if you need to move out to go to college and stay in a dorm that will solve your meetings problem and will help you find friends and contacts outside of the cult.
As you feel more independent you can find a way to talk to your parents and deal with that when you get there, but at present this is not a right option to take.
If college is not for you, you should look for work which will help you with your skills in an area that you enjoy and that will pay your bills when it's time to move out comes. Don't look for manufacturing jobs but trades or office staff where you can find work in other states and have qualification that will help you find similar jobs.
Don't feel guilty or a hypocrite just because you grew up in a cult, do something to get yourself better prepared to move out and to face a possible world without every dub you know in the worst case scenario. Don't DA yourself at this point as it's of no benefit to you at present.

I would suggest that one of the kids stay home with you, alternating between the two. It won't be as much work as having both of them.
Good advise, I thought something along the lines that if you help kids to go the meetings and don't have a problem with that then your wife may see that you're the one with the problem and you know it deep inside.
Another thought that was brought up here not that long ago was when a child told one of their parents that they will soon die by God. If you stand back and allow the cult to absorb your kids you may have problems down the road. How long will it be that the kids will recognize you being the bad influence on their life because you don't go to meetings, you don't love Jehoover... Kids pick up on these sort of things especially when they're exposed to it on regular basis.
There is no guarantee your wife will leave wts or wts mentality. Mine stopped with wts but I can't get that cult mentality totally out of her - it's her heritage as she puts it and doesn't think it's all that bad even though she knows it's false and doesn't believe it any more.
ex. When she visited her family last she wanted to bring my daughter to the kh for the sake of her mother, well I put a stop to that! No, need for fake dubs to sing praises about the baby only to curse her later because she'll never be a dub.
Another rough time is coming down the road for you if you decide the kids should not believe wts or you start telling the kids TATT, if your wife doesn't wake up, only one of you will have to give in and I doubt it will be her.

When you call Bethal, they don't know who you are, they don't know if you are a jw, worldly, xjw, opposer, from press or what. What they will tell you, is a sugar coated pile of shit! They are trained to respond to calls dealing with this sort of thing. If you presented the question from the point of jw and not of being one leaving, you might have got a little different response. But Bethal will not tell you to shun or not to shun it's up to your "bible trained conscience".
What is this "bible trained conscience"? At meetings you hear who the enemy is, who the bad association is. You hear this over and over again. When you read wts publications, you hear who the bad association is. You hear what defines and apostate...Your "bible trained conscience" is so programmed that it's surprising that there are individuals who don't shun "apostate" relatives.
Don't kid yourself by what you heard over the phone. If relatives weren't to be shunned then they wouldn't have a section in the elder's book on it.

Another Zalkin court document for downloading - This is the Complaint for 4 more victims to make 6 cases
by AndersonsInfo inaugust 26, 2011: this is the complaint that was filed on behalf of the other four victims for a total of six cases (not five as previously reported) that were settled out-of-court.
all of the litigation over issues relating to the production of the documents regarding campos, and the ability to sue the institutions for the conduct of a publisher were litigated in the dorman /gamboa case, which did not need to be re-litigated by the same judge in the second set of cases.
all of the six cases were settled as a group.. http://www.mediafire.com/?jiioix8jd1g9i06.

Miles3 - as you notice not every congregation has many df/da. At least the congs I've attended never had many, maybe 1 or 2 which amounts to peanuts. If they lose 35k-70k/year for DF out of 7+million that doesn't amount to much money that they would notice or make a dent in their revenue. Revenue loss may be to the problems I've stated above which don't really have much to do with df/da. I don't know of mass df, most I heard of in my congs were 2 people being df.
As had been said before, dubs are cheap and only few give more than they have to, this may have something to do with low education and lower paying jobs per capital when dealing with jws. WTS created this and they can't squeeze blood out of a stone. Mormons on the other hand have many better educated ones who generate a better revenue for their cult which wts doesn't seem to get. If wts wants more cash they need to push for higher education so the younger generation of dubs can contribue more. They can thank all wise leaders for this.

Advice needed please.
by tenene ini've been a lurker here for about a year and a half.
i am a baptised jw(born-in).. i was a publisher in good standing until about last december when i stopped putting in fs time as well as attending meetings and conventions including this year's memorial.. i no longer believe in the teachings of the watchtower society.. about 3 weeks ago an elder and a ms from my cong came to ny house uninvited and told me they were just checking on me and wanted to find why i haven't been to the meetings for such a long time.
they told me it was not an official visit, but sort of hinted to me that if i don't show up then i might be getting an official one soon.

It depends on the congregational elders, some won't care if you just stop cold turkey and some willget pushy. You have to realize that if you fade within the territory they still will visit you from time to time. The shepherding calls are nothing more than a big joke to try to get you back. All you have to say is at this time you're busy with work or you're depressed and you're working on it.
If your mom is in the same hall, depression may not work, but all you do is listen to their bs, thank them for coming and don't promise anything more than you'll try and off they go. During the call they will ask you if you sinned, obviously you say no. They'll ask you how your prayers are, you tell them you pray regularly and you read wts publications on regular basis.
Whatever you do or say, when they ask if you believe wts is god's borg, you have to definitely say YES. Or throw that in there on your own to reasure them you're not an apostate.
Again, it all depends on elders. I've stopped cold turkey, and I had dubs come over at the request of my wife and I told them I didn't believe in 1914 and I was researching wts and I brought up UN and child abuse cases of 2007 and that was a PO and another elder who visited me. I didn't get a JC nor had I went back until a year later when I handed in my DA. There were rumors I no longer believed in Jehoober but never got JC or DF. Again, it depends on your body of elders and possibly your age as they like to push younger ones more than they would "mature" adults.

Has anyone here heard anything regarding such a survey? For wts linking df/da and money with regards to a survey just doesn't make sense. Most r&f don't put these together so such a survey could wake some of these men up. Doesn't sound right. Then to worry about the effect of da/df on preaching numbers also doesn't smell right. Their preaching numbers don't appear to be diminishing unless they are fudging the numbers for the r&f. The df/da are still relatively a small number which I don't see affecting the finances to the extend they need to worry. There is more faders, and growing number of conscious class that probably has either limited their contributions or have stopped altogether. Biggest reason for smaller revenue may be global uncertainty regarding economies plus growing number of unemployed which contributed to lower revenue for wt$ more than 1% of df/da members each year.
If they go lenient, they may keep more people in initially but you know the knowledge of the new action will spread and they will have more people pushing their luck further than at present. With less fear of df, this cult will start to lose power until they are falling off a cliff.
If this is something these idiots really plan on doing then they might try to gather up df members who are still believers and grow internally rather than from recruits as the field is drying due to available information out there. They definitely can spin this new approach that the field has been completed and this is the last chance for the df/da member before the imminent end ;) They will send suckers to start calling on df/da ones hoping to get them back with a fresher carrot and a smell of end.
If such a direction they take, this isn't anything extraordinary but will stir pre-1975 excitement amongst the r&f. How long will this excitement last? At least before '75 they had a date and about 7 year of heads up, now this excitement will die down rather quickly, especially as many df/df had time to learn the TATT and will now be considered apostates.

Could UFO Disclosure Bring About A Golden Age?
by metatron inthere are a great many people - and internet sites- that preach a sort of 2012/ufo gospel.
while they may contradict one another, they mostly teach that ufo's will intervene and save us, especially if governments admit that they exist.. yeah, ok..... been there, heard that..... but could there be a core of truth to this idea?.
what would happen if the world acknowledged that et's exist?.

no golden age, we're talking about selfish humans. We don't need God for war, and hatred.
If there are aliens that can actually travel to earth what are the chances they are different from humans? Do they need to be god like ones, righteous so that they come in peace willing to put up with human BS? If so, you can replace God idea with Alien one and then are we to respect their laws because assumably they are more powerful and wise?
How long would it take for a group disliking one aspect of their new ideas before we would have anti-alien movement and in-fighting? Or would humans submit to a "totalitarian" rule?
One thing for sure, no Golden Age just as there will never be peace between a lion and it's prey.
