jw children have typically a very hard time growing up because of having to be so different from other kids they can't celebrate christmas, easter, birthdays or national holidays can't associate with "worldly" kids because that can ruin good habits, and as teenagers have to suppress sexual urges at the time when they are at their most intense.

they are constantly under pressure and living in a jw environment that's not particularly loving, understanding, or supportive they will probaly tell them: if you feeling down do some more field work to cheer up.

no wonder why so many leave.

Sadly here at home I'm on dialup, but at university (I'm an old fart student at the moment) with the super-fast cable connection I've spent many an hour over the last week or two on google earth, and it is UTTERLY FANTASTIC. Recommended to anyone. You can fly up and down the Grand Canyon - cool

they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

It's reasonably miraculous (if you'll pardon that expression) that we're lucky enough to have any ancient bone available to us at all, rather than expecting a continuous catalogue of examples of every animal species which ever existed.

is it possible that just about everything we say about the jw's on this forum is true, but on the other hand they would be the only true religion that god approves, even though they are imperfect and make errors?

Hi JH,

I'm not a believer myself, but I suppose in principle if you were considering the possibility of the kind of God who bestowed his favour on one particular organisation, then it may be possible that he would favour an organisation even if it was imperfect. In those circumstances though, I would at least expect that organisation to have good intentions. I think the compelling case can be made that the JWs do not have good intentions (the organisation that is, rather than all of the individuals in it), demonstrated by their behaviour over such issues as the UN involvement, "this generation", 607/587 and protection of paedophiles, where you can positively say that the organisation has acted deliberately to obfuscate and decieve, rather than to be honest, when they had and still have the choice to be honest, if it was in their hearts to do so.
