considering all the consequences of leaving the organization (especially the loss of family), some who have already known ttat have decided to return and continue with the flow just to keep their families and friend.. my question is if anyone here had tried it and how they have been managing living a lie constantly day-after-day?, as i am seriously considering returnning back to the full routine..

That's only a problem is you start from the premise "The Bible can't be wrong".
Remember, the society is only invested in the 607 date for as long as they cling to 1914 having any prophetic meaning. When they get some new light and chuck the 1914 concept, the 607/587 debate becomes moot.

It frustrates me that you can't expect witnesses to know their own doctrine now. I'm only in my 30's, and I remember the 'deep' (crazy) public talks and watchtowers on prophecy, the community feeling of "we're all in it together", the feeling that we've got the truth and everything we believe is strongly backed by the bible, and and and THAT generation is nearly 70 or 80 now!
Now it's switched to a religion that sells endurance, demands obedience and offers a pet lion at some indeterminant point.

The fish rots from the head down. Is there any chance that GB 2.0 are brave and intellegent enough to re-engineer the religion in to something that can survive the information age? Or are they themselves slaves to a concept nothing is really wrong (if only the brothers would just do as they're told) and that anything but glacial incremental change will destroy the religion?

Jesus has currently 'evidently' meant about 5 different things when he said 'generation'.
I predict the next thing he will evidently have meant was people living in a certain 'age', ie the generation that will by no means pass away will refer to the people living in the 'age of the last days'.

most witnesses that i knew of were spurred on by hearing a talk designed to make them feel guilty over their not doing enough.
co's visits, assemblies and conventions motivated a few to pioneer, "reach out", etc......soon after the talks, usually, in less than a month, everyone went right back to slacking again.. did you feel "motivated" due to guilt when you were an active witness?.
Absolutely guilt, along with peer pressure. I didn't want to be bloodguilty for not preaching. I remember beating myself up as a shy teenager because I had let an opportunity to give a witness go by, and now I was bloodguilty for sure!
How any of us kept our sanity I'll never know.

I would guess there's no articles adressing that directly because (In JW theology):
a) If you were a true Christian between 33-1935 you were annointed,
b) A ressurection of the righteous and unrighteous, so you could have been the kindest person on the planet, or an evil murderer, and as long as you died before Armageddon, you get the same reward - ressurection with the opportunity to join the other sheep. So basically it doesn't matter.

Of course this doesn't cover the people like those killed in the flood, men of sodom, Cain, Judas etc who are always popping in and out of gehenna.
my husband and i have had a long week worrying we would lose our niece, and yes the blood issue was very much part of the problem.
it is new to us to actually have the blood issue affect our family, but it really makes you think.
we would have immediately given her blood, but she and husband are still jws.
