they asked me if i could print out a leaflet that they could photocopy.

Look what I found.
by Monster injust last night i tried to talk with my sister about things going on with the jws, she gave me a book (a jw book) of course, that says the "worlds religions" are going to receive god's judgment against them.
the book is called 'isaiah's prophecy" i went on line to do research and found this place.
now what's really interresting to me about this is; this man (a jw) has used the same scriptures the jws used against christendom churches, to kick the witnesses asses with.

Just last night I tried to talk with my sister about things going on with the jws, she gave me a book (a jw book) of course, that says the "worlds religions" are going to receive god's judgment against them. The book is called 'ISAIAH'S PROPHECY" I went on line to do research and found this place. Now what's really interresting to me about this is; this man (a jw) has used the same scriptures the jws used against christendom churches, to kick the witnesses asses with. I pasted a little of it.
Over the many years that the Watchtower has been teaching Jehovah's Witnesses God's Word, the overwhelming tendency has been to cast ourselves in the best possible light by applying all of Jehovah's scathing rebuke to Christendom, and all of the positive aspects of prophecies to ourselves.
True anyone who knows Jws, know they are notorious for saying god will destroy all other relgions except theirs.
Because we have no doctrinal basis for anticipating Jehovah's coming judgments, it is as if we are trying to find our repose on a couch that's just too short to stretch out upon, and we are trying to wrap ourselves with a sheet that's too narrow to cover us completely. Consequently, we have made ourselves even more deserving of God's reprimand.
As an example, the Watchtower Society would never assent to applying the prophecies of Isaiah's 28 th and 29 th chapters to Jehovah's Witnesses, yet there is every reason that we should humbly do so. Consider the not-so-flattering description of Ephraim in the first few verses of the 28 th chapter of Isaiah. "Woe to the eminent crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading blossom of its decoration of beauty that is upon the head of the fertile valley of those overpowered with wine!"
Naturally we imagine that this is describing Christendom, but is it? If the above verse applies to the corrupt denominations of Christendom, then we must conclude that at one time Christendom stood before God as a beautiful floral decoration, which has now become wilted and lost its beauty. That doesn't seem reasonable. Ah, but spiritual Israel did indeed have a glorious beginning in the 1 st century, just as did physical Israel when it came into the decorative Promised Land. But, the question is what will be the condition of Jehovah's spiritual nation when God makes his inspection of it at the close of the Christian era? Well, that seems to be what Isaiah is describing.
We, who have chided Christendom for her dwindling numbers, must acknowledge that many churches have experienced a revival. Instead of 's religious waters of support drying up, it is we who must reckon with low meeting attendance and a public that no longer responds to our not-so-urgent-as-before kingdom message. Inasmuch as Jehovah's Witnesses used to gloat over Christendom's corrupt condition, in recent years it is we who have been forced to acknowledge that our own house is not in order.
And it gets better check this out
We even immodestly refer to ourselves as "Jehovah's clean people" in spite of the well-known fact that every year tens of thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses are disciplined as immoral fornicators, while countless others live double lives.
and
Jehovah's depiction of his own people as spiritual drunkards is an accurate one. The very fact that we are spiritually drunk inhibits us from grasping God's judgment of ourselves. That's because an inebriated person cannot reason very well. ..................The Watchtower is intoxicated with the power of God in that we administer his judgments against everyone but ourselves. That's why God says: "Linger, you men, and be amazed; blind yourselves, and be blinded. They have become intoxicated, but not with wine; they have moved unsteadily, but not because of intoxicating liquor." (Isaiah 29:9)
In our pronouncing this judgment against Christendom, we have inadvertently judged ourselves. No wonder God says the following of even the faithful ones: "And these also---because of wine they have gone astray and because of intoxicating liquor they have wandered about. Priest and prophet---they have gone astray because of intoxicating liquor, they have become confused as a result of wine, they have wandered about as a result of the intoxicating liquor; they have gone astray in their seeing, they have reeled as to decision. For the tables themselves have all become full of filthy vomit---there is no place without it." (Isaiah 28:7)
This is cold.
Our own faithful slave, while boasting of serving God's people nothing but the finest spiritual food, has unknowingly presented upon Jehovah's spiritual table dishes of disgusting vomit.
Now that's nasty LOL
I am printing this out just to show my know-it-all-holy little sister.
Sorry I couldn't put the link in, I don't know how to do that. maybe one of you can tell me. The site is called "The Watchman"

Who gave the JWS a bad name?
by Monster inthis is something i have been thinking about for a while.
xjws survivors tell us, when they were being sexually abused by members from their own khs, and they reported the abuse to the elders all they got in return from elders was, "wait on jehovah he will set matters straight" .
now i can't for the life of me figure out why didn't at least one elder reason that , jehovah was leading the victims to the elders so they could receive justice he was trying to set matters staright.

I am keeping close tabs on the ONE elder who did seek Justus for the children or the WT. let me tell you that's a long lonely road and only the strongest men can walk it.
I am not talking against men like Bowen or any other elder you may know who's standing up for the survivors, I was talking about the ones who knew for YEARS this was going on and did nothing. Some of those reports say the survivors told elders as far back as 15yrs ago. Now that's a shame
As to making your self understood, I have dyslexia, and can relate to that too. Some people will stand in judgment of you, some will crack on spelling but don't let them silence you because this medium suits them better then it does you. speak your mind if we don't get it we'll ask for clarification, no big deal.
Yeah I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. Like I said, on paper is one thing but in person completely different. Thanks for the advice. I have a feeling you're the type to set people straight :)

It's manipulation and control of the most unloving and unreasonable type.
Thanks for the inside info, see I didn't spend real time with witnesses I was to busy rebelling against the religion.(not for religious beliefs, only because I was determined that no one was going to force god on me) If i had not rebelled against them, I wonder now where would I be with them today? I didn't see the fears or the "sins" being commited, I didn't get to know the people on a personal level they weren't trying to get to know a troublemaking teenager so I lack true knowledge of what has taken place over the years with them. The only time my parents or my sister tells me anything about jws is , if I ask questions.
Wolfgirl, scully, been there, stinkypantz and Guest thanks for your comments it's means a lot i was worried no one would get my points but you all hit it right on the nail.

This is something I have been thinking about for a while.
Do you follow me? . They were so stuck on stupid that,Not one of them ever thought that the children who were exposing the molesters in the khs to the elders, may have very well been an act of god. Since they tried to hinder the work of god he decided to humiliate them before the world (of course i am just guessing at that).
Why didn't any of them realize that one day their actions would be exposed? did they really believe that god would help them to keep the dirty secert hidden?
If they were so concerned about not giving Jehovah "a bad name" they would have turned over the sonofab...s from the beginning, that would have given Jehovah and themselves a good name, the world would have taken notice of this and perhaps said, "hey, those jws have a no tolerances law for child molesters, they are good people"
Some of this is coming out because Refinnersfire (sorry if i spelled name wrong) put out a link to a news paper called "sunday" one of the stories is about a lady (now) who told the elders not only was her dad having sex with her but he wanted her to have sex with ANIMALS of all things and other females. Jesus Christ!
I am thinking about the elders shaking his hand on sunday knowing he's forcing his own flesh & blood to have sex with dogs. (Just using dogs as example).
One nagging question I have is: If one of the victims had been one of the daughters/sons of an elder who sat in the judgement seat with the other elders and listened to the stories, would he have called the society first?,taken it to the police right away?, or would he have just waited on Jehovah?
So who gave the jws a bad name, xjws or jws? I feel they know in their hearts they did it themselves.
I know this all sounds lke I hate jws but I don't, I really don't. I have a few family members in there, and a couple of friends, and to the best of my knowledge they are good people.
Peace James.

Last Days ? for ALL BIBLE BELIEVERS
by JT infor many of us who were perhaps like myself - a dyed in the wool society man/woman and very strong supporter of the "last days concept".. i have a question,-- below is just an example of the 14th century-.
can you name anytime in history since the day jesus and paul introduced the dogma of the last days where those who called themselves christians didn't believe that they were the ones who were suppose to get the fullfillment of the last days dogma?.
has there any been a time say in 800ad or 1215ad, etc---- where those who were believers taught that the last days would come not in thier time but further down the road long after they were dead and gone?.

It's like - don't they get it--- after waiting for a train for 2000yrs - you just might want to consider another mode of transportation
LOL I know you are serious but that was kind of funny. But then they have to ask, another mode of transportation to where?
Mulan asked:
what time in history would you rather have lived?
The roaring 20s, boy they really did live it up..:) That's a time I think i could have been happy in.

A question of race
by teejay insince i was a believer from the earliest of my memories, i spent my formative academic years not thinking or caring much about my future.
although 1975 (armageddon / the end of the world / jehovah's judgment) was still a year away, as a naive, dumbass teenager it was looming very large on my radar screen.
besides *that*, my best jw buddy got baptized in february of that year.

Btw, I read/bought a book once entitled "Monster." Very good book. I gave it to a youngster I thought might benefit from it.
Yeah I remember that book too. That young brother kept going through changes. After he wrote the book it became a best seller the system let him out of jail but he ended up going back because of his friends. It was a good book.
