we will see. Hopefully things will improve (they havent in at least a year) and people wont get called out as "trolls" or even "apologists" for having a different view. Labels of any kind are detrimental especially for people just wanting to express their opinions/experiences/POV. It is really true ignorance, and there is NO excuse. You CANNOT blame someone like Reniaa for anything, we are all our own people, and are going to have to face certain ideas and facts, no matter what you've been through.

Who's Really To Blame?
by AllTimeJeff ini hope all reading this will consider the following a commentary.
i have no one in mind, but a few posts have got me thinking about my own jw experience.
also, reading of the bad experiences and pain of others here gives me much room to pause.. clearly, most of us, with good reason, hate jehovah's witnesses (the religion, and sometimes, the people).

4/26/09 Parade Magazine question about Serena Williams/JW's
by frozen one inq: how does tennis star serena williams justify wearing such sexy clothes when she's a jehovah's witness?
- ron ryden, riverview, fla.. a: the winner of 10 grand slam singles titles dresses conservatively when attending kingdom hall services, but there's no religious dress code preventing her from wearing revealing clothes on or off the court.. .
i wonder who wrote the answer to that question because that is not how i remember the jw "dress code.

Myths about the Church - to Coffee
by Amazing inthe following are questions raised by coffee_black that deserve a response:.
opening note: often times we here how rome cherry-picked the bible to suit their doctrine, yet many people, mostly non-catholics demand that only the bible sola scriptura be used as the canon of the faith.
there is a serious inconsistency in such a demand that both worships the bible on one hand and then condemns the church which compiled that very same book on the other hand; the very same church, and the only church which formally declared the bible is inspired 800 years after jesus christ!.

what an utterly disgusting OP.
sorry to offend, but there is nothing redeeming at all about the religion you represent.
everchanging goalposts at the whim of a select few, population control, oppresive non-natural restrictions.
yeah, just another cult, man.

its funny that jws are allowed facebook profiles but not myspaces... when i was leaving myspace was really being talked down as pretty much evil. They even counciled me for having a music myspace.

Why don't JW's go to the apostates and prove them wrong as Jesus did?
by moomanchu injesus accepted the spirit's invitation to go into the desert and be tempted by satan.. he proved his faith and proved satan wrong.. why don't they follow jesus's example?.
why are they so frightened to have their faith tested?.
jw's used to be always on offense when it came to debate.. they are now mostly on defense..

actually, i've learned alot personally in my time in field service... and i am sure it has enhanced me in various ways that i wouldnt have had otherwise. Regardless of right or wrong, walking up to a stranger and talking to him about reading the bible takes balls, and if you arent just repeating the party line, even moreso ;)

All Along The Watchtower (Did Hendrix Know?)
by sacolton in"there must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,.
"there's too much confusion, i can't get no relief.. businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,.

What Did You Do With All Your Watchtower Publications?
by minimus ini needed room when i moved so i sadly threw my entire library away.
i mentioned this to an exjw.
he and his wife took all the hundreds of books, including bound volumes from the 1800s and are now using them for research and proof of watchtower lies.. what did you do with your books?.

had a huge bonfire of the real superfluous stuff - for a while kept a decent amount of things but trashed it.
I still have some things, to remind myself of the situation i left behind.
