I have plenty of anecdotal evidence of witnesses going through life with the attitude of "we'll just clean it up in the paradise." I wondered if this kind of attitude was manifest in the Bethel homes and factories. Is recycling something that the Watchtower engages in at its facilities? I know at the Conventions there are separate containers for aluminum cans. Are there any other examples of this?

Planning a Disney World Trip
by garyneal ini'm trying to find the best rates and times to go.
i was considering finding a larger group or even organizing a larger group.
if so, any pointers you'd like to share?.

@Gary,
When possible I'll spend a week there each year.
You can have fun at Walt Disney World any time of the year but going off-season is highly recommended. The reduced crowd sizes make park touring a less stressful affair and you can get better discounts on hotels. If possible avoid Holidays, in particular Christmas through New Years is EXTREMELY crowded. The summer months also have heat to deal on top of higher crowd levels. Not everyone has the luxury of picking a time to travel but when it comes to Disney the best times are October until just before Thanksgiving and January (after New Years) through February. If you go during these times you'll find the lines to be greatly reduced.
WDW is a BIG place. There are four major theme parks, two shopping/recreational districts, two water parks, and other activities around the Disney resort hotels. This is just talking about Disney and doesn't take into account the other offerings of the Orlando area such as Sea World or the two Universal parks. So you'll want to plan on how much time you have and what you definitely want to see - quite frankly you won't be able to "see it all".
We generally stay on Disney Property (which is a premium compared to the cost of staying off property) but if you are planning on going with a large group the cost might be prohibitive and you should instead look at a vacation rental. For currents rates and options check out mousesavers.com
I could give recommendations on tips from everything from tickets to dining to bathroom access ... I could easily overload you - so I'll shut up and just let you PM me if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer.
@Blondie
We have gone during the first two weeks of February plenty of times. Maybe we have crossed paths. We generally stay at the Pop Century.

The Governing Body has to Become the Faithful & Discreet Slave
by Mickey mouse inthe growing ranks of the anointed are a threat to their power.
today's watchtower made it clear that jehovah uses the governing body, no mention of the faithful & discreet slave.. i think they need new light on this in the next year or two..
-
donuthole
Yes I fully anticipate this as the pieces are already being put into place. Jesus illustration will be reinterpreted as follows
Faithful and discreet slave = Governing Body
Domestics = Anointed
Belonging = Other SheepI think two years is a good time frame for this.

I'm writing about Gilead school and would like to be put in touch with anyone who has attended.
I may have more questions but right now I'm wondering about a couple -
How do you apply? How do you find out if you have been accepted?
Do you have to take a physical before you accepted, attend, or graduate?
How long is the course?
What month does it start?
When do you find out what country you are going to?
How long do you have after graduation before you leave for your assignment?
When do they take the group photo for the Watchtower?
..
Thanks!

I have read some of Bart's books, but not God's Problem. In my opinion his books are often inflated in importance. It seems like every Easter he has a new hardcover on the shelf with the publisher claiming to offer some earth-shatering secrets on Christianity or the Bible. Then when you get the book it just a retread of dusty old scholarship and the same old Bible discrepencies that have been bandied about for a century or more. His books are easy reads and may give a person a different perspective but for every one of his passioned arguments you'll find another "scholar" who can give an equally passionate rebuttal. If your faith matters to you, I wouldn't put my trust in Ehrman, or any man for that matter.
