I asked my wife why the memorial was not on Nissan 14 in April, and why is it in March

the initial conversation had to do with someone who has the ability to reason for them self's.

i than asked her.....why is the memorial in march and not in april when nissan 14 is?.

her response..."pray to jehovah for understanding.

I dont know how i can leave my family!

my mom and i were talking today about how next summer i will be 18 and she said that just thinking about it might make her cry.

that made me think about how much more it would hurt her if i quit being a jw.

i really do love my parents, i know they are just being cruelly manipulated by a cult and that they really think they are doing what is best for me.

Family shuns for various reasons, have never had family come and visit me outside of my daughter's and son. It always seemed we were the ones visiting them. Never thought much about it until I spent one entire year barely hanging on to life. Not one visit no children or siblings at all. Many excuses but no visits, was living alone trying to take care of myself and eventually got better. Hung onto life for 14 months and also needless to say no one from local congregation either . Yeah being forgotten and or shunned is a bitch. Had lost 54 lbs in a two month period lived alone. My wife was in the PI with our young son and no visa yet so she could come and take care of me.

Had a weeks stay in hospital upon arrival back in states. Two weeks later drove from Wildomar California to my home in Texas. Only people that showed or gave any concern were friends from base commissary. Had two of my first wife's sisters and their husbands living I n town

One one occasion had to go to emergency room, called my former brother in law for a ride and he of course bitched about it and wondered why I just didn't call an ambulance. Was a 7 mile drive from his house to mine and a 9 mile trip from my house to the emergency room. This of course after my having driven him to emergency room on several occasions. Was in hospital 9 days and not one visit from former in laws. They had been in laws for one month shy of 35 years, nice family huh?

So yeah I know about being shunned am just permanently inactive will never go back. Am returning to states for a few months in April and won't see children as they want nothing to do with new wife and their new 4 year old brother. Yet they complain that its been over two years since they seen me. Well its going to be even longer, their choice not mine.

You just have to suck it up, do the best you can, and live YOUR life, not the life others want you to live. Lost all that weight do to my body not absorbing nutrition.

there was/is a sister in my old hall who was a pharmaceutical sales rep and she was a huge proponent of anything in the drug industry.

when someone had a headache, she was the first to say "take an asprin.

" now my husband and i are what you might call old hippies.

I try to workout 6 days a week I lift weights twice a day and on two of those days it's 3 times a day. Am 68 years old BP 105/60 :HR rested 56-60. Try to do goblet squats and Hindu squats pushups too. Stay very healthy or at least try to. Lots of sea food and vegetables, don't handle other meats like beef very well, stomach doesn't like them. A little rum or beer daily.

Why the Deficit at the Circuit Assembly?

have you ever wondered why there is always a deficit at the circuit assembly?

did you realize that before the program begins, the circuit is already in the red?

many of the friends thought they were paying for the use of the building and covering the costs of the utilities, etc.

I had asked that very question about the eternal defecit from an elder at those meetings. He tried to say it wasnt my concern and I told him yes it is I want to make sure the money donated (actually by my wife) was going to care of the hall and why are they donating money to the society without covering expenses first? Then I said anyone donating money prior to paying the bills is an idiot himself included. Of course later, several weeks later, was invited to the back room told them I have nothing to say to any of them. He or they didnt like it but they never followed up.

Good idea or bad idea?

first and foremost, thank you so much to so many of you who have reached out to me over the past few days since my post on sunday.

i'm not totally in the best mental state, however, i do have a very small amount of people that i can lean on for support.

i relayed my feelings to a friend (my only friend, really), who took the initiative to inform my family.

If your filled with so much anxiety being at the hall, then why go there is it really worth it? How is you anxiety level when your not at the hall, does it dramatically go down then that in an of itself shows you being there is unhealthy.

Do You Remember The First Time You Looked At "Apostate" Material?

as a kid, i used to go to the local library and secretly read books by so called apostates.

later, i would sneak into christian book stores and quickly buy a book or two.

Occasionally go into look for something and have to take a few moments to remember what I came searching for. turned 68 today 7 Feb. Still pumping the iron, doing pushups, pull ups etc.
