Moses goes to heaven
by moshe inour rabbi told us this one tonight at sabbath services-.
moses died and went to heaven.. god greets him at the pearly gates.. 'are you hungry, moses?
' asks god.. 'i could eat,' moses replies.. so god opens a can of tuna and reaches for a chunk of rye bread and they share it.. while partaking of this humble meal, moses looks down into hell and sees the inhabitants devouring huge steaks, briskets, pheasants, pastries and wines.

Now why would the WTS publish 2 pages of information in their brand new elders book that reinforces the standing procedure (page 50, paragraph 12) that states an inactive person should be assigned to a service group (change in terminology from book study group) only to scrap it before many elders have even seen the book or been through the KM school? It just doesn't make sense.
DoubtingBro, I heard it with my own ears, this new CO named Scott Henry said it plainly that if a person is inactive despite attempts by the BoE to reactivate him/her, then that person's name is deleted from the list of publishers in the Service Group. Plain as could be.
This has already been put into practice after this CO's visit in this circuit in New England where I'm at now. Quite a few names have disappeared from the list posted on the information board.
This list will now serve as a reference for JWs not only of who is an "active publisher" but also of who is "good association" and who isn't.

help please, plus the elder whos coming to visit me at 6 who thinks im going to be nice and let him in and get brain washed in to going back is a realy nice person and im softy so im not gona be in im gona leave letter on door for him to take,im going movies wi kids.

Why is ok to copy the FLOCK book and not CoC?
by cyberjesus inok so both books are copyrighted, bottleofwater just asked to get a copy of coc a book that would save his life.
however when he asked for a copy he got replies that called him a thieve and many other things.
however when copying the new flock book many here copy the book and pass it along and not many say the same thing..... so i wonder what do you think?

KS10- Chapter One Discussion
by yknot infirst and foremost i want to thank all the brothers (and one or two sisters) who were pdfing like mad to get these 'pre-kingdom school' chapter reviews ready (as per boe ltr these are 1,2,4-7,9 & 11)!.
for those of you trying to see who could do the entire book i want to let you know we had a 'dark horse' enter this race and his email was so compelling he is our 'winner' in being responsible for the full book (forthwith coming in the next day or so)-- and i will reveal more about him (as per his wishes) then.. so lets not waste anymore time in reviewing chapter one of the 'shepheding the flock of god' published by the wts (a non-profit organization whose purpose of this publication like all others is provided as part of a worldwide bible educational work.

Yeah, what the guy in the video doesn't say is that the KJV's English text based on [Textus Receptus / Stephanus / Byzantine Majority / Orthodox Church] codices are more recent than the Wescott & Hort sources [Alexandrian (Nestle, et al. texts based on Vaticanus and Sinaiticus)] which by the way in the last century older texts have been found which support the Wescott & Hort recensions.
So the real problem isn't who dared take verses out and make changes to the KJV, but who dared insert verses and change meanings in the original Greek texts? That should be the question. What were they trying to prove with all those inserted verses, like at 1 John 5:7? Well, it's pretty obvious that they wanted to proofs for the doctrine of the trinity.

The CONSCIOUS CLASS what does it mean to you, and do you consider yourself one of them?
by cattails inthere's a few posts where the term "conscious class" has been in just recently.. i'm wondering if it means the same to most jws and exjws who post here.. what does the "conscious class" mean to you?.
ok, no funny business about 'being conscious' as in awake and fully cafeinated.. if you could answer the two questions it may help some here to understand what.

I've grown up with two very distinct groups of JW young people.
One group who was leading a sort of double life, fully into the things of the world,
and another group of do-gooders who wanted to please parents and KH folks and
who thrived on positive attention. Unfortunately I had too much negative attention
forced on me, because I did draw attention and liked the confrontation. I was always
the dramatic one, the one to blow it all out of proportion and to make a big fuss about
any real or perceived injustice or unequal application of the rules.
As I've grown up a lot more and don't desire so much attention, negative that is,
I've learned to understand the non-conformist youths a lot more and to also
see through the double-faced do-gooder masks other youths had.
They were all pretty much leading a double life, they had to, but some were
more obvious and some knew how to hide it better.
There are some who grow up to be uber-witnesses but these are the minority.
Quite a few of the young ones in my home congregation just gave up, disappeared
and today they're not even spoken of, their memory is forgotten, as if they died.
It is sad to think that so many still keep in touch through facebook that would
otherwise never have any other contact with each other because some fell away
or never got baptized and went on with their lives and some remained in the
"congregation." Facebook is quite an eye opener, and you get to see that
most young Witnesses are like any other young kids around, except more
sheltered and more desperate to find who they really are as people. This is
a different type of consciousness, isn't it?

I personally like to go to the restroom to "stretch my legs" at least once during the Public Talk and again during the WT study. Why go during the song and have to wait in line?
Besides, I love to visit in the second school/Library with young moms who's poor little ones can't sit through the mind numbingness of the repetitive talks at the KH.
The Governing Body just doesn't know what they're missing. Haters!
