my mil just left.

she came over to discuss why i don't want to go to meetings anymore.

i didn't go into too much detail but every time i would say something she kept responding with circular reasoning.

my answer

in the book of Acts it says abstain from blood. most people would say that means eating it.
witnesses often cite an example saying if you were alcoholic you wouldnt ingest it in your veins, and so thats how they argue.
however, if you used an alcohol wipe would that be wrong?

- the bible also says blood is life, - it says there is no greater gift than laying your life down for your brother....

so you could also argue the bible says you should give blood, - very ambiguous. - I was raised as a JW. I do not and cannot agree with this. - its another way of cuttiing off their members to alienate you from society.

then underneath....

Acts 15:28,29 28 For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”
How does this not cover blood transfusions? If your doctor told you to abstain from alcohol would that mean you could shoot it directly into your bloodstream? Course not. It's quite simple.

My sisters ex boyfriend phoned her the other day in tears,, he had a judicial coming up. 13 missed calls. numerous texts.. Ill always be your friend mentality.

he was scared he was going to be given the boot, and so he tried to get some outcasts on his side

apparently it went ok, after two hours of blaming it all on her since she left a while back so he blamed her break up as messing with his head.

today she messaged to see how it had gone./

she had a reply saying ok, who is this please?

Asshole knows her no off by heart - he was acting like that as if I cant have anything to do with you because now hes been given the all clear, he can get all over righteous again.

no witness was ever a true friend to me.

well one or two but they all left too and the one thats still in is miserable and on valium.

How to Deal With Boy Conflicts?

just wanted some input on a dilemma a friend is having.. her son was punched the other day in the privates by one of his best friends (they are 8 years old) - the parents are best friends too.

the son now doesn't want to see the other boy and the whole situation, especially the way the other parents are dealing with the matter (not making the boy apologise in person), is putting a serious strain on all the relationships.. what would you do in this situation?

never fall out over your kids squabbles.

the kids will all be mates again in no time resulting in 'what you said'

happened to two friends of mine - similar situation, all playing, one went for his nuts, shouted 'nutcracker' made him cry, mum accused son of other mum of being a pedo.. (even though they were all kids) huge fallout for years. kids still friends..

pointless.

Im sorry. a bit ambiguous.

the poem in the other thread "disturbing poem' I quote..

When they've discovered they've reaped what they've sown,

I'll take back my lost lambs and make them my own.

An annoyingly over righteous assumption.. What I am saying is.. what are we supposed to have sown? - it summises we have all sown bad seeds, and more than 'why did you get kicked out' that wasnt my question.. it was more along the lines of.. what benefits have you reaped these days... because I am sure we must have all made positive steps in our lives..

no I wasnt noseying at why people left :) thats up to each one to share or not x
