Tough spot you're in there Berean. I feel your pain all too well. My wife and I have been separated on and off over the course of the last year primarily because of the JW faith. I've told her that I'll go with her to and from the meetings, but I'm going to think whatever I want to think. This has led to tons of arguing and marital discord, let me tell you. It's rough, as we both do love each other, but big J is just stuck smack dab in between our continuance as a happy couple.

I live with little respect from my mate ...
by The Berean ini have been married for over 30 years to a woman who was as good as i could have realistically hoped for and i probably am as good as she could have hoped for.. yet, over time, she has become less and less willing to respect my experience and conclusions concerning life.
the signs of disrespect are a knee-jerk reaction to doubt and correct my point of view even before i complete a thought or sentence.
while some of that can be seen in her mother and may be conditioned, my departure from the organizartion and her continued dedication to same has amplified her apparent inner distain.

here is the low down on maintenance and costs.. first of all with a brand new air system by trane (2 years) our bill is still 400 a month for cooling a 1650 square foot house.
electricity down here is very, very expensive.. mold and mildew during the summer months will take over a pool, deck, or the side of your house with in days.

It's just another way for Witnesses to fill their lives up doing Jehovah's work. It provides them with the hobby of learning another language while at the same time making them into JW All Stars. For a devout, mentally infected Dub it's a win-win.
