an elder in my congregation got on my nerves because he kept putting his arm around me and i'd asked him to stop.

a few weeks later he did the same thing again so i used my knee against his micro-penis.

a judicial committee was formed even though i was being sexually harrassed by this octapus of an elder.

However, the faithful and discreet slave's allowing this to be set up by Korah-like brothers and (gasp) sisters without disfellowshipping them proved to be both wise and discreet. Why? Because now we luv the internet and hate MAN printing presses and are kicking to the kerb those poor saps who trusted that we errr ..."some brothers" were right about the generation that saw 1914 not passing away, we have to cover our asses somehow. *

Q. Para 4 How do "some brothers" cover their asses while "some brothers" did the right thing? (Matt 12:37)

Could ''boredom'' at the Kingdom Hall be one reason why some members leave?

you'll find boredom where there is the absence of a good idea earl nightingale quotes (us motivational writer and author, 1921-1989).

let's forget that most members leave due to the wrong beliefs,doctrines and practices of the wts!.

i was bored out of my mind from the repetitive: talks,prayers,ministry school demonstrations,field service talks(peddle magazines),assemblies,special talks and watchtower magazine study articles.

One of the best CO's I remember actually wryly said from the platform to be kind to new ones with children coming along as they weren't used to long meetings especially nowadays. (this was in the late 1990's) He actually said when he was a young man in his twenties coming along he came to hear about everlasting life and that when he sat in a watchtower study for the first time he actually had a foretaste of everlasting life as it seemed so long and boring it was never-ending!

He then said I only have 30 minute ones now (as a CO visit doesn't get the paras read) but my wife has to put up with me giving the same talk for six months at a time poor love!

Actually he was probably our last (only?) really good CO ...

If the GB reinstated the Book study, would it take?

i have been noticing in recent threads that people have been observing that the zeal has been waning among r+f jws.

i have observed that most zealous, die hards have gone to foreign lands, or foreign language congregations, leaving the others in the stagnant english congregations.

when you think of it, if you cared at all about bringing people into the cult, you probably would be preaching where it is fertile, the foreign field.

Except for the oldie lonelies (30% of some congs mind) the midweek meeting is just a busy drain on busy people - nothing is done well, all a rush. Reinstate the book study in a home and drop the mid week meeting would be better. Bingo! Ain't gonna happen though. Not enough control.
