  Blondie: i love your comments on the WT. i read those almost religiously.

  OTWO: so very true on all the predictions, when i first started posting, what you were/are going thru from a personal perspective and what you shared have helped me with what i go through with my wife.

  shamus100: i can be crass, ignorant and extremely goofy. as for your monkey, i am not sure if i want your monkey. in fact, i am under the impression from past readings, no one wants your monkey. who knows where your monkey has been.

  what have jws got against harry potter /smurfs

  i knew jws that watched cinderella and sleeping beauty ,snow white ,wizard of oz etc so why arnt they allowed to watch the more modern films with "magic" and "wizardery"in them?

  it makes no sense , did anyone ever question that ?

  on a different note i remember it being announced that the full monty was banned (you dont even see anything )lol.

  i do know one jw family that will not even watch disney movies that relate to anything that have themes of magic or sorcery. most jws did watch cinderella, snow white, etc due to the focus was not about the magic and wizardry and such. the harry potter movies have that as a main theme. as for the smurfs, i think urban legend got the best of most jws and that was why. anytime you mention something and add demons to it, most jws run the other way whether there was any substantial proof of such or not.

  Did you ever clean parks as a JW?

  i remember several brothers who did this and sometimes when they went out of town our family would do their route.

  they would bid on public parks to clean and as you might guess the job involved picking up the trash and cleaning the bathrooms.

  the pickup would get pretty smelly from all the trash bags in the bed and the day would end at the dump.

  where i live, the local government has a parks department and takes care of all of that. i will say that one day, they had a clean up day at a local park and a bunch of jw's who played volleyball on one of the sand courts every weekend went and helped clean up.

  i was on the phone complaining to my wife how much i owe in taxes this year.

  no refund.

  she started in about how sister soandso is a pioneer, and since she considers this her career, she claims things like shoes, gas, clothes, and even if she has a part on a circuit or district, she claims the expenses for hotels and such.

  when something bad happened in your life or someone that you knew, did anyone ever say it was because you/that person must be doing something wrong and that jehovah stopped blessing you/that person?.

  wow, the responses roll in. lol. why i ask, since i have faded, i had an issue where several things went wrong right in a row. i was told by a family member that it was perhaps related to the fact that i may not have jehovah's blessing anymore since i am not attending meetings.

  What are the outrageous things did the elders do to you?

  this is a true story, more than 10 years ago, i went to the memorial and there was a very hot bible student female.

  we met each other, she gave me her phone number.

  right before my baptism, two elders asked to make a shepherding call on me. i was young and single. they started out with the nice and warm fuzzy feeling things and then proceeded to question my motives for getting baptized. they felt that i was only getting baptized to marry a virgin witness girl and that once i got one, i would take off and leave the org.

  while you were in the org and you know the watchtower is a fraud, did you stumble someone on purpose and that person is no longer in the org, is that worth it?.

  i hated and still do hate the term "stumbled". from a jw standpoint, i always thought that if someone was stumbled over what someone else did they were really not strong spiritually to begin with.

  now, i just look at it as someone who gets "stumbled" is just a "crybaby"

  what does no sex mean?

  need some advise.

  my friend has been with her boyfriend for almost 4 years, and for 3 of them the sex has been getting less and less.

  they are down to around twice a year.

  and if having these intimate relations is only for child rearing, what were the people in the video clips doing. i would assume that they were trying for another child? lol
