The Trinity
by meadow77 intop reasons the wts is lying about the trinity.
their translation of john 1:1 is not only a complete farce but falls apart upon closer examination of their own beliefs.
the insertion of the phrase a god, instead of god is just a clear misinterpretation.

Now I'm completely confused. If God is 1 God 3 persons or entities (that was what you were saying right?) Then who was Jesus praying to in the garden the night before his death. If God is God but was in Jesus' form, then who the heck is "Abba Father" that he was addressing?
And who's voice came from heaven when Christ was baptized? AND if Jesus was God in a different form why would he need approval at his baptism?

Roommates from hell

My last roomate was the best. We worked different schedules. We talked sometimes but for the most part we both had incredible amounts of our own space. He was a Muay Thai fighter with a body to die for. And when he WAS home he was always shirtless or in a towel. *shudder*
Anyway, he moved out a couple of months ago. I'm worried now because my friend and her daughter are supposed to be moving in January 1st. I hope she doesn't end up being a roomate from HELL.

Baptize your own kids?! Why not?
by nicolaou ingo therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things i have commanded you.. .
matthew 28:19,20 nwt.
well some here might still like to see their children make a dedication to god.

Dear Orange,
I think I should have been more tactful in my post. I did not mean to imply that everyone who is overweight is a glutton. I know exactly how difficult having a weight problem can be. I constantly fluctuate with mine. And becuase of the genetics of my parents, I have to work harder than most people at staying at a healthy weight. 3 years ago, shortly after leaving my family I dropped to a very unhealthy weight. People who saw me said I looked sick. People asked me if I was doing drugs. A friend of mine tried to get me help for an eating disorder. The thing is though, I didn't have an eating disorder. I was simply so stressed, and busy working extra, and I wasn't around my mother's cooking. I've since stabilized my crazy schedule and put some weight back on. My mother, though being obsese, was guilty of gluttony. My point was about picking and chosing which rules to enforce. And might I add that someone doesn't have to be obese to be guilty of gluttony.
p.s. for my whining side note...... I think it really sucks the emphasis our society puts on weight

Even before started smoking I used this very argument to defend people being DFd for smoking. It does not specifically mention smoking anywhere in the bible. Yet it does specifically mention over eating. My mother sister 'perfect elder's wife' weighed well over 300 lbs. She was never counseled for eating whole pies.

It's True!!!!
I just got an email saying not to drink pepsi and eat poprocks or your stomach will explode. The government fears poprocks were originally created by the Al Qaida in an attempt to target American children.

I don't usually know the right words to add, like so many on this board
seem to be able to do. I just wanted to let you know that I do think
happy thoughts for many on this board often throughout the day.
You will be the ones on my mind today. Losing your mother is one of the
hardest things to lose in life. You seems to have a beautiful state of
mind about though. And as always.... in the words of Tupac
"Keep your head up."
