Conditional love Vs Unconditional love

a thought occured to me today that very rarely in the bible is god shown to have unconditional love.

his whole basis of looking after the israelites was about " do as i say and i will love you, but if you don't i will kill you!".

surely thats as about as conditional as love can get.. then of course there is jesus dying for us.

Then of course there is Jesus dying for us. This is meant to be Unconditional love but the bible follows it up with all manner of conditions to this. Meaning that you only get this unconditional love if you are worthly of it, which is a contradiction in terms really.

Then there is human parents who love their children no matter what. this is real unconditional love and appeals to us humans most. It would appear there fore, that the love humans show their children is of a better quality than the love god shows his.

Thought please?

yes when i expected an elders family to pay for products they had used. They were furious with me as they thought because they were "elders family" they should get everything for free.

apart from a member of the gb of course.... i've personly seen a brother gesturing so much he sent the mic stand flying!.

another who opened his mouth to speak and burped loudly into the mic instead!.

Any E reader people here?

i'm thinking of getting an e reader but have never used this medium before.

does anyone have any recomends?.

also is there any p2p file sharing sites for e reader files?.

is it possible for the kindle to download and support any file? What i mean is, say i download a book from somewhere other than amazon? Or if i tried to copy accross a e book from a freinds computer?

Could They Dump The Assemblies?

my theory continues to be that the governing body will be forced to break down the organization piece by piece.. so, i wonder: could they dump the assemblies?.

it is clear - that they are having some problems in this area.

they are selling off assembly halls in some countries, they have moved some district assemblies to assembly halls (to save money on rent) and the pleas for donations from the platform have not let up.. while zombie witlesses may drag themselves to meetings and out in service (with whatever literature/magazines the watchtower manages to afford) indefinitely, i watch this area with interest.

i don't belive that any young people meet their "mates" at assemblys. there are too many prying nosy eyes watching.

last week i did some work for the army.

while there i was impressed by how nice all the guys were.

how respectfull, helpfull and decent they all were.

Hi BP, well my family isn't militery at all so no. And the family members who were in the 1st and 2nd world war are long dead. So no i don't have that refernace point.

Last week i did some work for the army. While there i was impressed by how nice all the guys were. How respectfull, helpfull and decent they all were. They were simply a joy to work with! Due to the occasion they were also wearing their medals. Showing that they had served in Kosovo, the former yogulasavia, afganistan and iraq.

What i can't get my head around is that these people have proberly killed or injured others during their service... yet they are such nice people!

can anyone help?
