A former Bethelites SAD testimony at the convention

i was just typing some of the sessions out for someone (long story), but i heard the tesitmony again, of one of the brothers, who had served at bethel for 12 years.

the thing that was surprising, was that it was not a joyous testimony.

you can actually hear his sadness, and his voice breaking a few times, when he recounts coming back to "the system" (real world) from bethel, and being completely unprepared and untrained for a job, or to earn a living.

Taking this topic in another direction, I find this line interesting: " The joy I have now is being able to serve with my wife."

How many people have remained single either to serve more fully or because they couldn't find a suitable mate at the Kingdom Hall? They are denied the only joy that this brother was able to find.

i remember when i like a real stupid ass went to a committee meeting for enjoying committing so called immorality, when in my view i was making love and i enjoyed every dam minute of it.

well any way those stupid elders whom i knew personally for many years wanted to know every juicy (no pun intended) tid bit of what went on between me and this good friend of mine, a long time sister in good standing, i told them what the hell, you guys dont know what sex is!

My JC wanted details. They interrogated me and my husband together because we committed loose conduct prior to marriage. I guess the details were needed to figure out whether it was "loose conduct" "porneia" or "uncleanness". The word I would pick is "humiliating".

I confessed it in the first place because I thought that's why Jehovah's spirit was lacking in my marriage. Turns out I married an @s$h0le and was part of a depressing religion.

so that word is added a few times in colossians and there many other [bracket] words in the nwt as if that makes it okeydokie...yet when these scriptures are read from any platform or stage, the reader never mentions it...so if some poor worldly person at a convention is just listening and not reading a bible...he has just heard a spurious verse....the same is true on all the wt bible readings on tape or cd....imo if you read it spurious...then it is spurious.......just a thought as no good dub would ever admit jws would ever utter such a thing...................................oompa.
