Red Rose drinker here, too. I also enjoy jasmine, and green teas. Tea is a comfort, and this time of year I drink 4-5 cups a day. Just sugar or honey. I understand that milk undermines the effects of tea's antioxidants.

Some christmas spirit, WT style!
by bohm inwell, i know its a bit self-serving since i allready posted this in jwfacts thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/199939/1/watchtower-images-required, but i think its quite funny and things have been kind of serious around here for the past couple of weeks.. it seem to me that when jahs chanel have desided (im kidding, they has been told) the one and true god really hate christmas and will kill you in nasty ways if you go ahead and celebrate it, it provide a pretty compelling case for not celebrating christmas.
but the governing body can make an even stronger case than that: not only will jesus cry and clice you up if you celebrate christmas, you will also have a really bad time.
wow!.

Is that Christmas tree upside down with the "stump" up in the air?? LOL that is the hokiest picture of the "evils of Christmas" that I have ever seen!!

We are not false prophets
by Cook My Socks UK inbelow is the outline for a talk on the service meeting this week, i guess to help ones to answer the objection / accusation - how would you refute, if this reasoning was used by a jw at your door?.
have not jehovahs witnesses made errors in their teachings?.
jehovahs witnesses do not claim to be inspired prophets.

If the Watchtower's Governing Body truly thought that they were not inspired, then all of their myriad rules would be suggestions, not commandments. They would be "conscience" matters, not disfellowshipping, marking, pruvate reproofing matters. Just their arrogance in their judicial system is enough to tell me that they indeed do believe they speak for God and have his authority to do what they like with the lives of their adherents, even to the point of causing one's death.
To be a good Witness one must believe infallibly in fallible people.

Seeking medical treatment
by exwhyzee inyou can probably make any belief make sense if you know what scriptures to use.. what if the founding fathers of the wtbts, in conjunction with the blood issue, had decided that seeking medical treatment of any kind was unscriptural?
the logic might have looked something like this.. they could have said "jehovah intended old age, sickness and death to be a punishment to mankind because of adam and eve's disobedience.
like a parent who diciplines his child out of love, jehovah's purpose is to teach mankind once and for all time that he demands obedience.

The Followers of Christ in Oregon have beliefs very much like this. Quite a few of their children have died.
Very scary what people can believe is the "will of God."

Justification, Sanctification, Substitutionary Atonement is Officially OUT Says WT
by Perry in'also, it is to the spirit-anointed christians who will rule in that kingdom that most of the christian greek scripture is directed.
' (watchtower.
june 15, 1974, pg.8, caps for emphasis).

Seems like only the "chores" in the Greek Christian scriptures apply to the Great Crowd. I don't understand why the preaching work isn't the sole work of the anointed. Jesus was speaking only to his disciples when he gave them that command. According to the way the Watchtower interprets the Greek scriptures, preaching should only be done by those partaking.

My letter to my aunt.
by alice.in.wonderland inmy grandparents are jehovah's witnesses and didn't raise their daughter to behave in such a manner.
i sent her this letter:.
g82 5/8 pp.

Oh.my.god. Did it ever, EVER occur to you to tell her how much you love her and are worried about her? How many fond memories you have and that you want your "auntie" back? That she is family and you will always be there for her????
The letter you wrote is chapter and verse from the mind of a Phairisee. How did Jesus speak to those considered "unclean" in His day?
SHe is of "no use" to you? This statement in a nutshell describes the nature of the problem with the JW heart and soul. God I pity you so, so mcuh. You have so much work to do on becoming a human being.
May you never be in a situation to receive such a letter from someone you love.
Ugh. I need to go take a mental shower now.

Severe abdominal pain
by Heartbreaker inhow come pain the middle of the night is always more scary than during the daytime?
i was woke up from a hydrocodone sleep, with pain in my very upper abdomen and middle back.
it feels like i'm just pumped full of gas and tightness and pain.

Juli
That sounds like classic gallbladder to me. Had one attack, no longer drink gin and/or eat fried foods. You describe it perfectly as the pain you can't get away from.
