  Yes, I want to thank you too Barbara, it was date line, that shook me, hubby and my daughter the first time I saw the programme and set us on the road to waking up. Even though many times through the years we had concerns and doubts troubling us, this made it home something was wrong, I looked up your blog, the rest was history, and I hope this publicity will help many to start waking up.

  So thank you for your bravery and standing up for what you believed to be right and standing up for vulnerable people who had no one to turn to and many had no one believing them.

  we're at least 48 hours into the aftermath of the groundbreaking candace conti verdict, and as i wake up this morning i notice the news wires in america are alive with the story.

  almost every major news website is running the article.

  i notice there is also talk of a tv interview being broadcast.. however, when i search uk websites for "candace conti" i get this.... .

  whatever "laws" god supposedly made, we're supposed to take it on good authority that the wtbts out of everyone else is able to interpret what those laws are and are accurately giving us the definition of what that is.. .

  Bloody hell, I wonder who the lyrical genius was? He/she won't be winning any Ivor Novello awards any time soon. Aside from the sickening manipulation and propaganda, the lyrics in themselves sound like they were written by a twelve year old child. Truly pathetic.

  Why was I disfellowshipped?

  i needed to get this off my chest for awhile back i confessed to the elders in my hall that i had sexbfm, i was dating a sister for 2 years and she wouldnt marry me until i became an elder like her dad.

  so i fell into some sin and did the deed, one night stand with a stranger.

  i felt bad for it and told the brothers, well they recommended me for dfing, i told them i wasnt sure where i was in life spiritually and they said i need to go on my own and figure it out...well 7 days or so later i went and called the po and asked him if he would hear my repentance, he said it was too late (one day past the alotted time) and they already sent the letter to the society...well i asked what can i do and they recommened a judical comittee of like 8 brothers from surrounding halls to hear my case, well i sat in a massive circle of 10 or more brothers in a back room and opened up all of my repentance and tears and confessions, they all were in an agrement that i was worthy to stay in the organization becuase as they stated "you are a good fine brother that loves jehovah" but.... they recounted that they have to go with the first decision they 3 elders in my hall made, then told me to work my way back in no time.....this was a turning point of craziness, my mother father brother sister all stopped talking to me imeddiatly not a word, they were from the old school 70's witnesses (not like the ones today) they were taught to be strickt!

  What's the biggest lie/rumor that has ever been told about YOU?

  most of us here know what a hypocritical, backstabbing bunch of gossips many of the jw's tend to be.

  far too often, a jw wont tell you to your face what's eating them, but they'll sure tell others.

  when i started waking up (the second time around) this made me very paranoid.

  Apparantly the only reason I got married so soon after getting engaged was because I was pregnant....that was certainly news to me!

  The ironic this is, I was actually pushed too quickly to get married because the congregation just would not leave us in peace and kept hounding us to set a date for the wedding because they did not approve of 'long engagements'. So I couldn't win either way Wankers!

  i always wanted to join them when i was a child.

  i had freinds at school who were in and loved hearing the tales of what they got up to.
