  Worshipping Elvis Unto Death

  due to chat deprivation last night, i got in on the tail end of a month long biography of elvis.

  the last few years of his decline due to prescription drugs was laid out in excruciating detail.

  elvis was going downhill, surrounded by people that worshipped him, adored him, and cared about him.

  Hatred Approved by Jehovah

  a jw quote disturbed me.go back to my idea of hating false religion.

  my opinion was to hate those religions and not mine... but to have a clean conscience and to hate what god hates.

  a real hatred will make you exercise the personality that god wants in the new system that will last forever.

  The Bible - god or manual?

  i am challenging my own perception of the bible, from what i have comfortably held for many years.

  at work, i have learned the proper place for a manual - handy to refer to, but don't treat it as gospel.

  you know those annoying colleagues at work, that pull out chapter and verse the minute things don't go their way.

  i see some of the older folks raise their hands like i have seen nowhere else, except for queen elizabeth ii.

  here in canada we call it the "royal wave".

  Are Witnesses Locusts?

  i was amazed to discover that faithful witnesses are the locusts of revelation fame.

  but reading the description of the locust, i can find some similarities.. .

  many orthoptera are serious pests of vegetable and grain crops.
