Witnesses and apostasy from the WT
by isaacaustin in"apostates" are considered by the wt to be the worst kind of sinners, and summarily shunned at all costs.
while there is no scriptural basis for this when the seeming proof-texts are analyzed....fear and loyalty to the org always allow this to keep going on.
in the book of matthew, jesus was tempted by the satan the devil.

What Things Were YOU Counseled For?

over the years, you must've been counseled on different things.. when i was almost of age to become a ms, an elder counseled me for my "lack of seriousness".

Need to make my home worth less. Any tips?

Install rows of uncomfortable chairs, a carpet that doesn't match the chairs in anyway. Build a platform at one end surrounded by curtains that neither match the chairs or the carpets. Put a rostrum and a microphone and stand on the platform. Decorate the wall with a vinyl postaer quating a scripture and hold regular brain washing sessions.

it feels great all the hurt, guilt, fear and paranoia questioning, doubts, etc etc are finally gone and it tastes and feels good what a relief.
no more pain and sorrow, only jubilation along with a sense of being finally at peace with myself.

as jws we were always told how the governments were going to turn on religion and then try to obliterate us and how jehovah would step in, in the nick of time, and save all of his people.

It is hardly surprising. Too many elders are busy building their little empires and favouring their immediate families, they don't care about the congregation, just the perks they get by being Elders. Those of us who really do care burn themselves out by taking too much on and fretting over other peoples problem. We were nevr given proper training for the responsibilities that were thrust upon us. If we were percieved to be a good listener everyone wanted us to listen to their problems. I now feel that an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I'm sure most ex-elders felt the the same when they stepped down or were deleted.

To Angel Eyes & Other WT Apologists
by snowbird init has come to my attention that a much-beloved poster on this forum has been hurt by the insensitivity shown toward her account of how badly she was treated by the wt.. i realize this is a place where are all welcome, and barring any posting guidelines violations, we are free to air our views without fear of any backlash.. however, please keep in mind that most posters here - yours truly being one of them - view the wt in a negative light.
with all the evidence out there pertaining to its deceitfulness, how can anyone view it otherwise?.
i reached out to you, angel eyes, because i sense that you need a friend.
